This is a horse chat thread where we share ideas, ask for input from other horsemen, and talk about our riding and horse-keeping. We have a lot of different kinds of riders and horses, and a lot to share. In the previous threads we have had a great time talking through lessons, training, horse lamenesses, illnesses and pregnancies... and always sharing pictures and stories.
I always have a link to this thread on my profile page, so if you have something to say and can't find the thread in latest posts… look for it there and wake the thread up!
I also have a ping list for horse threads that are of interest, and MissTargets will now be pinging everyone most mornings. Let MissTargets and/or me know if you would like to be on the ping list. As FreeRepublic is a political site, our politics and other issues will probably blend in…. There are many issues for horsemen that touch politics… land use, animal rights/abuse cases that make the news…. Legislation that might affect horse owners.
So... like the previous threads, this is intended as fun place to come and share stories, pictures, questions and chit-chat, unguided and unmoderated and that we come together here as friends. There are lots of ways of doing things and we all have our quirks, tricks and specialties that are neat to learn about.

No it's him singing and he's just great. They said last year to him, they would try to do a Rod Stewart week this year too, I'm hoping the do, and I hope they stick to this collection.
The songs are songs my mother use to listen too, so I was kind of raised on them...
If you like Rod Stewart, and you like older songs romantic type songs, you should get these. You can get them off itunes, if you don't want to buy the whole set. I bought some off there, but liked them so much, I just went ahead and bought the whole collection of CD's, and have enjoyed all the songs, even the ones I wasn't familiar with.

LOL...one more post, but something I thought you might find interesting about them. From what he said on AI last year, he had wanted to do these songs for like 20 years, but they were so out of character for him his producers/managers discouraged him from doing them. From the sounds of what he said, he finally just said I'm doing them. They've been a big big seller too, and I thought it funny I'd never heard of them till that night.
I read in a magazine that after that week on AI, the sale of these CD's shot up again. I haven't been able to find the 4th one in the set. I only have 3, and the one I got off itunes.

It is a hospital show about a bunch of interns. It is on Thursday nights. Last week really left us hanging wondering what happend to Meredith!
Well, I'm back. It went pretty well. The girl who stuck me was very good at it. It didn't hurt, but she did have to wiggle it around in there for a while to get it going good. I don't watch when they're sticking me either. I've passed out when the vet has had to stick one of my dogs! But I did pretty good until right there at the end, then I got kind of a hot flash and got a little fuzzy around the edges for a minute or two, but it passed. After I had a bottle of apple juice and some crackers I felt much better. The walk back to the office perked me up quite a bit too. It's about 50 outside with about a 20mph wind so that was a pretty good motivation to get a move on.
I LOVE Heros! It's really getting good now.

LOST is really great too, but it really sucked when they took off all those weeks right in the middle of the season. I sure hope they don't do THAT again next year!
You don't really think they are going to let her die do you? Heck the show is named after her, she narrates it...But they are cutting it close, and it looks like it's going to be a bit out on the limb if she comes back too...

Doesn't that just piss you off...they've done that alot lately. All the shows we watch they started showing re-runs in Dec. and are just now getting going again...Winter time is when I watch TV, really upset my routine:)

Well glad it went OK. Be careful the next few days, I've heard it can make you feel tired for a few days.

I think next year they're going to play it straight through, which will significantly shorten the season, but I'd rather see it that way so it suits me just fine.
Oh, and I wouldn't have minded the mid-season reruns as much as I minded it just going OFF and being replaced by something totally unrelated. The holiday season is kinda hectic for a lot of people and they may miss some episodes, but it wouldn't matter if it was a rerun. Plus, if you did want to watch them, the reruns would give you a chance to pick up on some things that you may have missed when it ran the first time.

Well I have my horse saddled. He's going to stand for a while and think about it:)
I went thru his whole massage/stretching routine. He doesn't appear to be sore anywhere, altho, he didn't seem to want to stretch way out, and I didn't push it. Maybe he's just forgotten what I'm asking him to do, or it could be he is just stiff and needs a few times before being able to extend fully. I know I have to work up to it if I lay off awhile.

My favorite on all of them is "For sentimental reasons" The piano in that one is just wonderful.
