This is a horse chat thread where we share ideas, ask for input from other horsemen, and talk about our riding and horse-keeping. We have a lot of different kinds of riders and horses, and a lot to share. In the previous threads we have had a great time talking through lessons, training, horse lamenesses, illnesses and pregnancies... and always sharing pictures and stories.
I always have a link to this thread on my profile page, so if you have something to say and can't find the thread in latest posts look for it there and wake the thread up!
I also have a ping list for horse threads that are of interest, and MissTargets will now be pinging everyone most mornings. Let MissTargets and/or me know if you would like to be on the ping list. As FreeRepublic is a political site, our politics and other issues will probably blend in . There are many issues for horsemen that touch politics land use, animal rights/abuse cases that make the news . Legislation that might affect horse owners.
So... like the previous threads, this is intended as fun place to come and share stories, pictures, questions and chit-chat, unguided and unmoderated and that we come together here as friends. There are lots of ways of doing things and we all have our quirks, tricks and specialties that are neat to learn about.

New folk and occasional posters, jump right in and introduce yourselves, tell us about your horses, and post pictures if you've got them!
next time! At least I got it! Whoo-hoo! Next time, a horse!
We had a phenomenal sunset tonight... my dad took this picture of it from our beach house...
Further south under those clouds there, and probably a few minutes later, I was taking this one from our pasture...
You are blessed! I'm going to put one of those as my background for a bit. Just gorgeous!
Keep on snapping! (Isn't digital wonderful? I can remember when people thought 35 mm was convenient! "The 35 mm camera is like the codfish - laying 3 million eggs so that one may survive" - Ansel Adams (I think).)
:) I just checked - no pictures yet of the puppy. How's work going?

Yeah. Probably tomorrow night. I'm going horsing tomorrow, looking at some property and some other stuff. My husband was just telling me that he went outside after dark and she started growling at him from the dog house until she saw who it was. I thought she was going to be like Cindy but I don't know.......
What is happening at your place?
Hope you have a good time with horses tomorrow.
I have a great boss now. She works too hard though:')
Yes, she does :)
Night
Night :)
Wow Hair! Those are great sunset pictures! The color in the one your Dad took is just awsome, but the one you took is gorgeous too so I'd be hard pressed to pic a favorite. We were cloudy all day yesterday and didn't really have a sunset, so thanks for showing us yours.
Yaaaay, you got a picture to post! It's awfully small but it looks like a gorgeous farm. I'd love to see a larger picture of it.
