Or vice versa?
But since you seem to want to shift back and forth between the past and present, using whatever selective records you can find to justify the "Big" 10's weakness, I refer you back to my earlier post:
... since 1950, mighty Michigan has won one NCAA football "championship" while Alabama (6), LSU (2) and Tennessee (2) have won more than all of the "big" 10 combined (7)
And here's a rather prescient call by yours truly made exactly one month ago today. Remember?
I think that you're just upset about Michigan having to go get whipped by USC in the Rose Bowl again (from 1970, USC has beaten their favorite victim 5 times while Michigan beat USC once).
Note: Make that 6 times after the January 1, 2007 32-18 thrashing that USC applied to the Wolvereenies.
Everybody still asleep?
Once again for the record: This years' head to head record: Big Ten 2...SEC 0.....
Last year......Wisconsin whups, and I mean whups on Auburn, yet Auburn is ranked in the top 5 at the beginning of the year, while Wisconsin is unranked in the beginning (how do you guys forget this stuff, selective memory?)
A ten year record puts the Big Ten up in head to head mathchups with the SEC 10 to 2.
So how does that record, this year, last year, or the past ten years make the SEC the "best conference"????
Slogans:
1. "SEC is the best....cept when it plays the Big Ten or the Pac Ten".....
2. "SEC is the best......after all they play each other"
3. "SEC is the best......our fans and coaches whine better than the rest"
Good luck Monday night, you're gonna need it, a lot of it.
Urban Whiner's last gasp as the SEC sinks into irrelevance with humorous late night jokes on ESPN.........I await your grovel poem, entitled Ode to the Big Ten......
:-)
Isn't armchair trash talking wonderful?
