I got these pics from my daughter that she took at home this morning. Not too clear, but everything is covered with ice, and unfortunately it isn't warming up in a hurry. We're wondering how many trees we may have lost at both places. When she can get out she'll check for us.

I guess so. Right now it's 23 degrees and holding.
It was raining in Mass, but the minute she hit the NH border it turned to ice. It took her hours instead of mins. to get home because of the ice slicked roads.
I'm sure the roads are ok now, but she still took the day off. S-ut! ;)

Manolo´s wife went to the United States for a six months course in connection with her job....
Manolo, naturally, hired a live-in young girl as a maid to do the domestic work
One day, his mother-in-law called saying she wanted to have dinner with him.
During dinner, the old one, realized, that the pretty girl was his employee in the home.
After dinner, she started putting out hints. As how her daughter had sacrificed everything for her work to improve herself, earning good money and saving for her family, not like someone who seems to spend money on his own comfort and pleasures. That subtle type of thing....
Reading his mother-in-law thoughts, Manolo says: "I know what you are thinking, but hope that you do not doubt that my relationship with the maid is purely professional".
One week later, the maid tells Manolo: - "Since your mother-in-law came to dinner, the silver soup tureen has disappeared.. Surely she must have taken it..." Manolo responds: - "Good heavens
I have always know that woman is a bitch but I never thought her a thief
anyway, I am going send her an e-mail, just in case
"
He writes to her - with copy to his wife in the USA -:
Dear mother-in-law,
I am not insinuating that you " took the silver soup tureen from my house", and I am not insinuating either that you " did not take the silver soup tureen "; but the fact is that it disappeared from the day that you came here to have dinner.
XXX
On the following day, Manolo receives an e-mail from his mother-in-law - also with copy to his wife -
Dear son-in-law,
I do not want to insinuate that "you are sleeping with your maid," and neither would I want to insinuate that "you are not sleeping with your maid"; but the fact is, that if she had slept in her own bed, she would already have found, over a week ago, the silver soup tureen that I placed there, right under her pillows...
XXX
I AM SENDING A SMALL GIFT FOR YOU UNTIL MY DAUGHTER...

It seems pretty cold up there. I especially like the shot of the road and the trees on the other side with the skating rink at the bottom of the driveway.

Nor was hers. Having been moved from here to there and back all throughout my Marine Corps brat childhood I tend to notice accents.

That's doable.
Best to be hunkered down at home under blankets with someone to help keep you warm though...
