"The worst was that the motels didn't have my channels!!" I hate inferior lodging! What is wrong with these people?
Speaking of inferior lodging, I had to go out on an investigation this afternoon. Supposedly, this family was living at this fleabag motel. I didn't have a room number, so I did the logical thing and went into the office to inquire. BIG mistake. Next thing I knew, I was taken upstairs and down a dark hallway and into a room where there was a matronly woman with hair braided down her back and a very elderly woman sitting on the pot. Not a one of them spoke a word of English. I would've called our aide who is fluent in Spanish, except they didn't speak Spanish either. I think they were something like east Indian. There were Hindu posters on the walls. And the place stunk to high heaven. I tried to leave, deciding I'd find another way to track down the people I was looking for, but they wouldn't hear of it, practically forcing me to stay until they got someone on the phone who spoke English....only to find out that the people I was looking for were long gone. When I got out of there, I felt like I'd been in the twilight zone.

"oes everyone appreciate how I come back and immediately start barking out orders?"Yeah, well it took you long enough. I haven't been able to be around much lately and the rest of these people are just out of control.

Thank goodness the weekend is here. Sounds like you need time to de-tramatize yourself, Sweets. No shopping allowed though!:)

She's stretching the truth, BQ. She started it. I think we need to put her in the basement with the rest of the troublemakers around here!

When I got out of there, I felt like I'd been in the twilight zone. Ewww, sick. Sounds like a "Law and Order" episode. Yeah, the area where we were apparently houses half of Juarez during ski season, so although I didn't know we'd be traveling to a foreign country, that's what happened. Massive culture shock because these are not the nice people you meet when traveling in interior Mexico, as I have.
To: derllak
But shopping relaxes me...well, under certain circumstances. Must qualify these things.
