No. He's still there. Nothing we can do until court unless placement finds another place for him. Everything in the state is full. It has been insane lately. I called the worker who is going to have his case yesterday and ranted for half an hour. She wasn't happy about the situation either. She's going to try and go see him today.

Damm. When you next see him tell him we're all pulling for him.

Mornin' Nully. I see you survived all Derly's abuse last night.

Like? No, not particularly. My threshold for noticing it is rather high though.

Good morning everyone. Just finished watching Snakes in a Plane. Never laughed so hard since Cardy tried to get wimmen to an island hideaway. ;)

Hi Cardhu,

That is one bound-and-determined fisherman whom I have met on other walks to the ice mountain. He never catches anything, he moves from place to place, and he simply considers a bad day fishing better than a good day working. He loves the feeling of the place, it is so supremely peaceful. The theory is that the fish which have been so torpid and hungry all winter should be willing to take bait early in the year, worms especially. But --- Nothing. Nothing yet. Sometimes at that point I have seen fishermen take a strike a minute and fill up two five gallon pails with little pan fish, perch mostly.

The other activity I didn't have the lens to photograph is kayakers going down the cracks that form in the ice, going out into the vast sheet. They say it is dangerous if the ice closes the cracks when the wind blows, but it too is supremely peaceful. The sea birds -- gulls, pelicans, and plovers come down by the thousands. Coots, ducks and geese too, it is a migratory route.

Last night I watched Halloween H2O: 20 Years Later (1998) with Jamie Lee Curtis and it was pretty good. Not too many laughs...

Maybe Cardy should try his hand at script writing? One of my shirttail relations got $100,000 for her script.

That's beautiful, grannie.

I can't get my gulls to behave like that.

LOL Nully, his daughter has been trying to get him to write a book for years, starting with his life.

(Only problem is...he's so old, his life would take all the time he has left. Maybe he could combine his life story with all his wild fantasies and dreams. That could be interesting to other Pervs) ;)

(Kidding Cardy. Ahem)

Smoooooooooooooooch..

I have to stay on his good side, or he'll steal my newts and frogs.

Now that is one mean looking Gull.

They just took the boy to the fishing pier to try his luck, and I was given orders to catch a nap. The games start when they get back. Last chance to play cards as they're leaving tomorrow around noon. Boo Hoo...but it won't be long until we're back with them all again and we can continue the waaaaaaaaaaaaaar. ;)
