You know I've thought of that too. As a last resort I'll have to call someone in. All these disk checks cannot be doing my puter any good. It's only a year old and I'd hate to have anything major go wrong with it.

It's been a hostile relationship as long as I can remember.

pulchritude -- You dug up one word there that shows off your Brittanic lineage better than most, and in searching out the word I found a most insightful quotation, perhaps you might enjoy it as much as I do.

No stranger aftermath developed after the war, Thorek recalled, "than the sudden hope, surging through feminine -- and sometimes masculine -- hearts, that where nature had been niggardly in her gifts of pulchritude, the knife of the surgeon could remedy the lack."
-- Elizabeth Haiken, Venus Envy

Awwww, thank you for the Valentine greetings, Cardy. Your giddy girlfriends on DD appreciate you so much! You make us feel very special. I'd squish you with a nice big bear hug, but I don't want to break your Britty bones. ;)
Have a sweet day, Cardy.

Poor Gran! I know how frustrating 'puters can be. I hope someone can give you some help, cuz I'm useless with that stuff. Happy Valentines day Gran. I hope your honeys spoil you rotten today!

59th anniversary? How can that be, I thought you were 36? :)
That was a beautiful pic for Sweetlibby. She'll be blushing for weeks! That was so sweet.
Have a wonderful Valentines Day, Null! You're special too. :)

It was such a nice day today that I decided to go to La Coruña to see if the observation elevator to the Parque de San Pedro was near completion. The Observation area is a glass ball that appears to roll up the mountain.

I took about about 80 photos of my walk. I will shrink them and post some here and the remainder I will upload to Pbase for anyone who cares to see them.

I will post the URL when they have been uploaded.

I have no idea how it operates as I could not get close enough look in the well. I don´t think those steps are to take the teeth of gear mechanism as they would soon crumble but the rest seems covered by rails in some way.

They probably use Nully´s sucking springs.

But what do I know? :)

I thought you implied that it was your birthday, Null.
I think Valentines day is a bad day to get married. If you wind up divorcing, it just loses the whole meaning. Fortunately your parents can still celebrate it. Congrats to them!
Now pay attention, Der! *rapping my knuckles*

Yeah. I'm pretty depressed today.

They can celebrate, IIRC on their 55th they went to dinner, separately, with their own friends.

I went to check out the Observation Sphere and then just took photos on my way to the park and through a residential area of apartment buildings off the busy main roads.

The arc monument is at the end of the Paseo Maritimo and is very remote, I don´t think most people here have even seen it. It is the Glorieta de Victimas de Terrorismo --- not just the Madrid bombing but the 30 years of Basque Terrorism too.

It is a simple monument with hands on one side and colors on the the other.

The Observatory looking building they are building in the park, I was told was just a Mirador -- a viewing point. Seems too complex for that. The whole park is a Mirador.

An afternoon walk in the park
