Wow..thanks for the links. Interesting stuff. I like those lock and lock containers. We eat a lot of fresh strawberries and they are especially good right now. Blood red and as sweet as can be, but we usually never let them go over night without slicing and dicing them. ;) Does the container really keep them that good without molding?

I really wouldn't be interested in most of the meats. We get very good meat here and at home, and a lot cheaper per pound for sure. Of course our king crab legs are to die for and the shrimp is wonderful too.

I love looking at the links tho, so thanks.

I'll bet you do, you little devil you. My neck feels better with some rest away from the puter. My chair here is not well suited to me, so too much typing causes me to hurt in my shoulder and necks. ;)

I also need to adjust my monitor, but I'd better have Al do it because it's so tight it scares me. The one in NH swivels and divils..and dances with glee, but this one is a little spunky and devilish like some people I know.

CAN AGEING BE HALTED?

Gerontologists consider the maximum lifespan for humans to be about 120 years. But with rising evidence for a genetic "death programme," which in principle could be amended, some researchers are starting to believe the limit could be extended

Philip Hunter
The author is a science writer, specialising in biology and medicine
Old age hardly exists in wild animals. Accident, illness or predation usually kill long before the potential lifespan has been reached. Humans, though, especially in the developed world, are pushing in ever larger numbers towards the maximum lifespan, thought by most gerontologists to be around 120. (The world longevity record is held by the Frenchwoman Jeanne Calment, who died in 1997 aged 122 years and 164 days.)

In Britain in 1901, life expectancy at birth was 49 for women and 45 for men. By 2002, this had risen to 81 and 76 respectively. This rapid increase in longevity has created hopes among gerontologists not just of an extended "quality of lifespan" well into the nineties, but of lifting the 120-year limit.

Optimists and pessimists on ageing

Well those L&L box are really great in the summer when the starwberry are selling 2 qt for 5 that is a good deal but being one they would last only a few days but these box have keep my cherry tomatoes and berry for almost two weeks and no fuzz.

I have finished those 2 qts of strawberries got my money worth!

Those 16/half lb steakbugers are really a great buy $3.16 each Made from aged, flavorful ground steak trimmings.

I have a few good butchers here but it is not always convenient with my knees. Some only a block or few away.
