The folks over at PIXAR haven’t disappointed me, yet; we own everything they’ve put out, but we probably wouldn’t if we didn’t have the kids.

Other than those, and the LOTR series, though, I’ve got to agree with you: it’s almost all mindless dreck with an occasional title ranking worthy of a one-time viewing.

Still, with rentals, you can always go back and get old films that ARE worth watching more than once; “Ben Hur” comes immediately to mind.

300 was pretty good. Transformers, despite being a Spielberg flick, wasn’t preachy and was campy fun.
