That always stopped me, too. Most of the time there were several postings of the same story, so I felt no need. But I decided I should at least post ONE! LOL!

Yeah that was kind of the way I felt. Call it giving back to the community.

Finally figured out the MP3 player (electronics) issue. I ripped the CDs on a Linux box, and it allows more freedom in filenames than does Windows. (The MP3 player is a Linux machine, but it uses a Windows filesystem!)
A little frustration and a little slow because I have to rename some filenames, but when it's all done I can back itall up to the Windows fileserver.

I am only the back up pinger on the RKBA list and that is only because KP asked me too while he is not able to be around much.
I don't use it much because the mods are either zotting trolls to fine powder as soon as they are detected now days or we are not being trolled that often anymore.

I have noted the gradual vanishing of ZOT threads. I am starting to look at alternative homes. The good news is that we have good candidates for next month.

"... the mods are either zotting trolls to fine powder as soon as they are detected now days or we are not being trolled that often anymore." Or because "We have met the Enemy and he is us." Ask KP about that. He's been having his share of run-ins with people who are more interested in arguing than in the ostensible point of argument.

A sure sign this website is going downhill - we don't even have decent trolls here anymore! :-P

Trolls aren't supposed to be decent.
By the way, my globe shows that the path from Ireland to New Mexico goes over my house. Wanna drop in for a cuppa coffee or tea?

Have you been to Cloud Croft?I ate lunch at the BBQ joint in the center of town after I toured Sunspot.

Wanna drop in for a cuppa coffee or tea? I suppose... I could ask the pilot to drop me off!

That looks something like the one Darks fell into, except it doesn't have the blades and the chemical vats.

I suppose... I could ask the pilot to drop me off! Worked for D.B. Cooper... except nobody ever saw him again...

Or because "We have met the Enemy and he is us." Yep.
There are threads that I stay off from for that very reason.
However... Maybe I am paranoid but I think a concerted effort is underway to drive a wedge between conservatives. This story is a case in point.
Lane caught short (MSM liar nailed)
I find it troubling not because the MSN lied (that is after all what they do) but that there was no skepticism from our side. Not from either side of the debate.
If this was a one time thing I could brush it off but during the past two years I have seen quite a bit of this stuff. Some of it, to our shame, pushed by our very own pundits.
Now more then ever we need each other. This is the battle of our generation and nothing less then our survival and that of civilization as a whole is at stake. And while I may not be civilized I hardily approve of civilization.
Number One Niece wants to be a pediatric nurse. Only in a civilized society will she be able to have that. If I have anything to say about it she will have that. But I can not do it only with people who believe exactly like I do in every aspect. Because that would end up being just me.
I think it was Ben Franklin who said that if we do not hang together we will surely hang separately. He was not speaking metaphorically. I would like to echo his words. And I am not speaking metaphorically either.
