One of the reasons I posted warnings about venturing into the elevator ways without proper protective gear is because they were designed to function cold. In space, that can be very cold, and superconductivity is more easily accomplished.

Of course, with our well-distributed nuclear power generation, it isn't normally necessary to disburse large amounts of power, except for the occasional possibility of an errant meteroid heading our way that might need a little laser-enhanced course correction.

Last time I flew (several months ago), I could bring solid foods even if they were checked, but I couldn't bring any liquids even if they were purchased in the terminal. It looks like that has changed.

I checked the site earlier, and it talks about 3 oz. servings of pudding, etc., but nothing about sandwiches for example.

I'll ask the attendant at the ticket counter when I check in.

I think as long as it's solid, you can bring sandwiches. I brought granola bars and didn't have any problem.

You might also want to check with the airline to make sure that they allow it. Some airlines post the guidelines on their websites.
