That makes me 16-9 so far straight up, 11-14 against the spread. I guess I'll stick to engineering.
That looks like four reasons to me
If I'm doing better, I'd be surprised....
Bowls are supposed to be hard to pick....
Booty needs to start using The Force
I wouldn't call that "Anti-Husker"...
And I agree with him BTW, the 86 Penn State team would be able to stop the 71 Huskers....
probably not the '96 Huskers though....
Vader needs to be taller :)
3-3 at the half....
Lots of defense in this one...
Not quite what I'd expected...
IF you are going on the talent of the lae 80's compared to the talent of the early 70's, then yeah, but if you are going by which team was more dominant in its era, then hands down 1971 Nebraska, which beat the top 5 teams in the final rankings.
I don't know...
Those comparisons are silly filler material anyway...
And dominant teams in any era can generally hang with any other....
Michigan playing Led Zeppelin.
Last Bowl Game that show bands at halftime....at least this long.
yeah....
Which sucks...
Because during the BCS title game, we'll miss the Script Ohio and then the Floridian rip-off of it....
I thought they kicked field goals for a million Doritos...or is that the sugar bowl?
I think you meant FOUR reasons...
They did that in the past few, but I'm not 100% sure what they'll be doing at halftime this year....
Yes, I believe that would be four reasons, wouldn't it? :)
I can't think of any teams that could beat that squad.
I'd like to see the 2001 Hurricanes play them....
but yeah that 96 Husker team is probably the best ever....
I don't, and it's primarily due to BYU's recruiting focus shifting almost exclusively to LDS/"Mormon" players. I just don't think a team like them could compete in, say, the Big XII, only bringing in Mormon kids. They aren't doing what they did in the 80s where they could afford to bring in a loose cannon (if you'll excuse the play on words) like Jim McMahon.
The Pac-10 might be the one league where they could more than hold their own, though.
Forgive me throwing in the "woulda shoulda coulda" card here, but say for the sake of argument Nebraska settles for a tie against the 'Canes in the 83 (season)/ 84 Orange Bowl. I'd have to think '83 Nebraska would be in this discussion also.
They dont just bring in LDS kids. Sure alot of there recruits are Mormos, but they have a few who arent, some even converted to LDS while playing there.
