ESPN News referred to TTU as Louisiana Tech in the first news segment after the game.

I've always been of the opinion that the better the conference does in bowl season, the better it is for the individual schools. Back in the 90's when Spurrier was dominating the SEC, we may have hated the SOB, but come bowl time, he was OUR SOB! ;^)

I just tuned in for the last couple of minutes. Poor game management at the end there...

Terrible. They gave BC about forty yards of field position and saved them just under a minute of time on the clock.

A new defensive coordinator?! We need to fire Glen Mason and the entire staff. I'm really really suggesting that we gut the entire program and start over. This isn't the first time that a Glen Mason-coached team has built a big lead and lost it. It's unforgiveable. It's atrocious. It's infuriating. I go to several Gopher football games a year and I'll always be a loyal fan. But I'm not sure that I can go again as long as Glen Mason is head coach.

Can't say that I disagree on principle, but I was thinking more in the realm of the possible. Mason's contract was just renewed, plus we've gone to four or five straight (third tier) bowl games. Mason (or a good offensive coordinator) has managed to field teams that usually put points on the board (North Dakota notwithstanding), so I'm thinking, let's pay big bucks to land the likes of Bo Pelini, who may relish the challenge of establishing a stout defense here as he did at Nebraska and as he's presently doing at LSU. Maybe we could covertly promise him that we'll guarantee his elevation to head coach in a few years.

Yep, cost them the game. I have been covering the ping list but if you want to do the next game that would be fine with me...
Alamo Bowl coming up on ESPN.
Should be good..both Iowa and Texas started out the season great and then fell apart.

There is also the Giants/Redskins game tonight....
The Pats/Titans should be a really interesting game. Pats need to go into the playoffs firing on all cylinders and the Titans have been amazing the past 6 weeks.

I uess raw talent amounts for little when you have Mack Brown for a coach.

As I was watching the game, Navy 'made' the first down, only to have it nullified by the holding call, making it third and 15. I thought:

If ever there was a perfect time for quick punt this is it.

Next play, the fumble and then Navy loses.

Tough, tough loss for Navy. Nothing against BC, but I sure was hoping Navy would find a way to win.

half time will probably be Iowa 14 - Texas 10.

Iowa was robbed on a 10 yd pass play for a TD...
called the receiver as an illegal receiver - covered up on othe line...

the replay clearly shows he was not set and off set a yard deep in the back field... should be 21-10. crap.

:45 seconds to go in the half TEX is kicking off.

Good thing is Iowa has put together 5+ minute drives and should be fresh on D for the 2nd half
