Missouri is pulling out all the stops on this one. On-side kick to start the second half, which backfired. Halfback pass to the tight end for a TD. Mizzou interception of an Oregon State pass which they promptly fumbled back to the Beavers. It's a pretty good match so far.
AFter two embaressing losses last night the Big 12 needed this to look good. I think the worst the 12 will do, assuming we win this one, is 4-4. likely 5-3, and maybe 6-2, not sure about my Huskers against Auburn, but Texas and Oklahoma are almost sure bets, TTech has a real chance to beat up Minnesota(which is on tonight)
Pac 10 isn't looking too impressive, either. They're 1 and 3, soon to be 1 and 4. And when Michigan kicks some USC ass then they'll be 1 and 5.
"Soon to be 1-4"
Uh, yeah. You guys take all these shots at the offense in that league, but unlike in your league, being down by two touchdowns with 6 minutes to go isn't that big of a deal. 39-38.
Man that was a good game. And get over yourself, OSU was all but beaten luckily they were playing Mizzou where all but beaten is a certainty in every game.
That doesn't always work either. Remember Auburn in 2004?
Again, haven't seen you on here today. But in case you missed it, "video game football" won another one today, coming back from 14 points down with 6 minutes left.
The thing is, the Pac-10 offenses generally play to form outside of the league. The league plays high scoring games because the offenses are good, there are more plays run, there are shorter drives, more passing, therefore more scoring. And the league's defenses are set up to deal with those types of offenses. Why is it, however, that the SEC defenses give up so many points in their bowl games, when they don't give up many in their league?
...guess you should revise your prediction....
...it was a great game....but why should raptor29 get over himself?.....It wasn't him/her that made the WRONG prediction about OSU losing....just another big mouth unwilling to admit he was wrong......too bad.....
I wasnt predicting it, however I was making a assumption that Mizzou would hold its 10 point lead to predict how the Big 12 would end up for the bowl season, so no I cant be wrong here...too bad really.
....no, not you....it was Non-Sequitor making that predicton to which raptor man responded....I was just backing him up.....but not against YOU....the other fine chap
Anybody remember the old Can Am Bowl? It was an all star game played in Tampa from '77- '79. It featured a mixture of American and Canadian rules.
Mike, tell us more about the Canadian Schools that have petitioned the NCAA.
The College Football Data Warehouse website lists only two Can Am Bowl games, in '78 and '79. In both games the US all stars beat the Canadian all stars, first 22-7 and then 34-14.
Well if I was any good at predicting winners I'd have made a fortune in Vegas by now.
Thanks for sticking up for me NorCal!!
I'd normally watch, but the Saddam Deathwatch is more entertaining, and gratifying. ;^)
Saddam will at least put up more of a fight than the Giants have lately.
Or apparently TTech.
Texas Tech ties it up at 38 w/ 5 seconds left! Looks like the Insight is headed to overtime!!!
