First Thanksgiving Day game victory for Detroit (Day-Twa) in something like ten years, and 7:5:0 season record, including two over the Bears, a split with GB, and one to go with the Vikings. No points scored in the second half by the Packers, who seemed to become the first half Lions. Aaron “70s Porn Star” Rogers was fuming on the sidelines, and I do feel for the guy, because I actually like him (must be those State Farm commercials).
For that matter, and notice I writing this behind the anonymity of the Internet, I’ve always admired the fact that the Packers are the only community-owned team in the NFL. They had a bad stretch in the 1970s, but basically, players who go to Green Bay go because they want to play quality football. I don’t think that they’ve got that much of a problem with their QB switch, because they are a well-recruited and well-coached team.
This isn’t going to be their year, however.

The Lions’ offensive play-calling was abominable, and the results show. Yes, the two consecutive BS penalties handed a touchdown to the Eagles, but it wouldn’t have made a difference in the outcome.
Tell me — are you jackasses serious about winning football games, or the division? Or is the whole thing just some kind of fixing scame being run so the Mob can clean up on wagers?
