Great, just great...George Mitchell is not only a Democrat with less than stellar national security credentials, but he's decidedly unfriendly to our only true friend in the Mideast, Israel. The only realistic choice that would've been worse was to name James Baker.
Good job, George - keep sending our enemies the message that we're weak and easily cowed. Just make sure that you stock up on food, buses, tents and radiation meters, because we're going to need them all.

You mean like all the female judges they filibustered? Or the way they debase Condi? You don't understand the Dem's playbook...It's also in at least "some" of the "real, true" conservatives' playbooks.

I think the President is fully aware how Republicans would react to this news.

What? People are saying that nominating Mitchell would be a bad idea, if its true. I happen to agree that the President will be making a mistake if its true. Is this Bush-bashing? No.

Until Conservatives grow a spine and start playing hardball with the socialists/liberals/Democrats, then they will continue to lose.
The liberals and the media have a death-grip on this country and are dragging it down. We've got to FIGHT and FIGHT TO WIN for what we believe in.

No, I think there is a snowball chance in hell he would get the position, and I don't believe the President would for one second consider him anyway. I just believe its an insult to John Bolton to even put that headline on his page, and to make it sound like he was even capable of filling his shoes is a slap in his face.

Why read the posts, or for that matter wait for the facts? I don't know what's worse anymore, reading FR, the Sunday shows or the MSM.

That's quite a decline in fortunes, ain't it? One moment he comes this close to being named commissioner of Major League Baseball, and 15 years later he's got to figure out why Barry Bonds' head is the size of a pumpkin and his b@lls are the size of peas.

He didn't even nominate him and you're already trashing the President? Although I suspect you've never *stopped* trashing him so really I shouldn't be surprised.

Some Dem staffer has fed this to Drudge knowing it will get all those outraged conservatives mad at Pres. Bush again.
Works every time.

I don't know what's worse anymore, reading FR, the Sunday shows or the MSM. FR is becoming more and more hysterical and has been for the past few years.

I think that President Bush should nominate George Allen. That's a great idea. He'd have to be tough enough to hold his ground, though. The U.N. is full of rabid scavengers. It has to be someone strong enough not to be pulled into the "Death to America unless they give us more money" vortex.
