Why not nominate a woman this time? It might make it harder for the Dems to filibuster her nomination. The Democrats would only have to filibuster the nomination for a couple of days. After the 110th Congress comes in they can simply table a nomination (or vote it down if they really want).

Americans are a pretty pragmatic bunch. They don't like the idea of consolidating too much power in the hands of one single family. Such a nomination would have the pleasant side-effect of guaranteeing that Hillary would not get elected to the presidency as long as her husband was at the UN.
