There isn't going to be a rematch.
No. 1 Ohio State will play No. 2 Florida, not Michigan, for the Bowl Championship Series national title on Jan. 8 in Glendale, Ariz.
According to a BCS source, Florida moved from fourth to second today ahead of No. 3 Michigan in the final BCS standings.
An official announcement will come this evening in a televised unveiling on Fox.
The news means that USC will play Michigan, not Louisiana State, in the Rose Bowl on Jan. 1.
LSU had pre-sold more than 42,000 tickets in advance of making its first-ever Rose Bowl appearance, but UCLA's upset win over previously No. 2 USC on Saturday, coupled with Florida's win over Arkansas in the Southeastern Conference championship game, changed the final pairings.
The BCS bowl lineup is now expected to be:
Rose: USC vs. Michigan.
Sugar: Notre Dame vs. LSU.
Orange: Louisville vs. Wake Forest.
Fiesta: Oklahoma vs. Boise State.
Florida's jump over No. 3 Michigan, which was idle Saturday and has not played since a three-point loss to No. 1 Ohio State on Nov. 18, likely will cause more uproar in BCS circles.

I don't know anything about these "pre-sold" tickets, but I have to think that the actual seats at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena on January 1st are going to be made available to Wolverine fans.
ND lost by 26 to Mich and 20 to USC. Look for another 20-30 point blow out.
LSU officials said Saturday the school had received orders for 42,500 Rose Bowl tickets and 22,000 Sugar Bowl tickets.
Pathetic.
You are correct. All that the LSU fans have right now is a place in line and a "held" amount on thier Credit cards. If LSU gets Roses, they get thier tickets. If LSU does not get the bid, the "hold" is released.
Should be a great Rose Bowl.
LOL, but on the bright side, perhaps they can use all those Buses that they did not use during Katrina.
Snort.
Unfortunately this mollifies the hypocritical SEC, which will now continue to defend this utterly ridiculous bullshit fraud that is the BCS, instead of switching to pushing for a playoff.
Until we have a playoff, there isn't a national champion in college football, just an annointed figure skating queen.
My snort was meant for the BCS, BTW, Arkinsaw :)
I'm taking this article with a huge grain of salt.
The problem with OSU is they are very physical, have a lot of team speed, have depth at every postion, are very well coached, rarely give up big plays, have good skills at the skill postions, and have excellent special teams.
They are simply not beatable. Mich played a near perfect game and got a very rare 3 turnovers and still was behind by 11 very late in the game.
These kids are students first, so this doesn't really matter.

LSU/ND is a great matchup, but Louisville would give OSU all they could handle.
What game were you watching??? Michigan had not given up a long run all season and gave up two against OSU. Henne missed a wide open Manningham for a TD. Michigan's late hit on the QB kept alive OSU late drive or Michigan would have had a chance to win the game. Perfect game???? Far from it. Granted Michigan got some big breaks on turnovers, but that was not Michigan's best.
Considering the source yes. But looking at the numbers, no. The only BCS poll that has been released is the Coaches poll, and the coaches gave Florida a lead that is too much to overcome in the other polls. There is no way Michigan will get it, and I wanted them to.
I think Florida has a chance, the emergence of Percy Harvin now gives Florida a legitimate threat on offense that they haven't had for most of the season.
For the most part, New Orleans and LSU fans are two totally different groups of people.
