There isn't going to be a rematch.
No. 1 Ohio State will play No. 2 Florida, not Michigan, for the Bowl Championship Series national title on Jan. 8 in Glendale, Ariz.
According to a BCS source, Florida moved from fourth to second today ahead of No. 3 Michigan in the final BCS standings.
An official announcement will come this evening in a televised unveiling on Fox.
The news means that USC will play Michigan, not Louisiana State, in the Rose Bowl on Jan. 1.
LSU had pre-sold more than 42,000 tickets in advance of making its first-ever Rose Bowl appearance, but UCLA's upset win over previously No. 2 USC on Saturday, coupled with Florida's win over Arkansas in the Southeastern Conference championship game, changed the final pairings.
The BCS bowl lineup is now expected to be:
Rose: USC vs. Michigan.
Sugar: Notre Dame vs. LSU.
Orange: Louisville vs. Wake Forest.
Fiesta: Oklahoma vs. Boise State.
Florida's jump over No. 3 Michigan, which was idle Saturday and has not played since a three-point loss to No. 1 Ohio State on Nov. 18, likely will cause more uproar in BCS circles.

Houston Nutt is a good coach, Arkansas will be back.
UP roar , you ain't seen nothing yet!
Besides with Nutt we get wonderful ESPN headlines like, "Nutt To Replace Johnson With Dick Against Cocks."
I know inSTEAD of right you meant to type the word wrong so I shall correct you.

Actually, my team isn't playing in the NC game. Although I do hope the Vols make up for a bad season last year.
"I will be back in Jan to rub salt in the wombs."
Was a problem that ran in your family? I am beginning to think so...
Even though I am a USC fan, I think MI will win it in the Rose Bowl.
Yes . what about Lsu not that hanging chad clown ridden Fl gives a damm. But what do you want from a state that kills women like Terri Shivao and can't vote and was the same place the highjackers remained in the US with over due visas. Good ol Fl !
After watching that Hawaii Game last night I think some SEC school needs to crack that market. I would love to get some of those guys in the future
Yeah, those pesky OSU folks just paid the Wolverines to lose I guess.
It's shame really. Most of the Michigan residents down here in Florida are nice people. I would hardly guess you are a prime representative to extoll the virutes of such a proud program.
I suggest you dismount your high horse and take a chill pill. My comments are based on experience and I never mentioned anything about an accent. My comments were about the quality of schools in two states. Some of my best friends in service were from southern states. Some of them paid the ultimate price (Granada, Panama, Gander, the Pentagon, Afghanistan, Iraq) and not just in the current conflicts.
Finally, you criticize me saying I sound like Kerry (which if you would have done a search you would have seen my posts on him) and then turn around and berate enlisted people. Real fine. Thanks. Preciate your support.
When I was at UF during the Spurrier era, I pretty much listened to nothing but sports talk radio. I used to get a kick out of the group of callers who never missed an opportunity to phone in and whine about how Spurrier didn't use the tight ends enough. This, at a school that had spent 90 years looking for an SEC title before Spurrier came along and got them six of them and a national championship.
But even they didn't demand that Spurrier be fired for not using the tight ends.
2-10 Illinois put the hurt on the Buckeyes and nearly spanked them.
You can bet that film is going to get a workout in Gainesville.
Man Betsy you are putting me in a pickle usually I prefer the Big 10 over the SEC, but gosh I have to pull for Florida now.
keep dreamin!
You know, I had completely forgotten about that game. The closest that Ohio State came to getting beaten this year was at the hands of Ron Zook.
GO ahead FL is losing anyway, no matter who sticks for them.
I hope the Ohio State and Florida game is a slugfest.
