I agree with the general sentiments in your statements. However, it appears you are equating the kid throwing eggs to a murder.

I don't think these crimes are equivalent in any way.

I'm not really trying to equate them. But I am pointing out that actions like these arise from people with damaged souls. I think the egg thrower and the shooter had a lot in common. They weren't raised right. The shooter's mistake was more egregious, but did not differ in kind from the mistake made by the deceased.

In California to throw any object at a moving vehicle is a felony. Where would the bleeding hearts be if the SUV driver had swerved his vehicle because he was surprised and ran over and killed another innocent child. That young adult's actions had consequences. Maybe he'd still be around today if his parents would have raised him to respect the law and other people's property. No sorrow here.

I think that the "weight" added to help balance the "Egg" side of the scales is that THE EGG GUY HAD NO REASON for his actions.


The SUV guy over reacted...but his was a REaction to an attack.

The EGG guy CHOSE to perform a selfish ACTION, begging for another's reaction.

People who throw things at cars are endangering the lives of those in the automobiles. It is less likely now than a few years ago but an egg in the face through an open window can cause a crash very easily.People who throw things at cars are endangering their own lives as well.
