My Dragon Fly and Me

If I could be a Dragon Fly
and wing my way through the sky
I would never be shy
just me and my Dragon Fly!

By moonlight we ride the wind
chase the comets tail for fun
by day we would hide from the sun
our fragile wings would come undone

On darkest nights we would use
fireflies as our guide
we would dip and we would glide
through the heavens open wide
and scatter diamonds in the night sky
my Dragon Fly and me...

And we would wing past our lovers
silent in the night...
to kiss their face in our flight
much to their surprise and delight
my Dragon Fly and me in sight...

Such a view do we share
away up here in the air
of breezes soft through our hair
my Dragon Fly and me a pair...

"Global Warming my frozen assets!"

The liberals will tell you that the New Ice Age was actually caused by global warming : )

Eagle on the Wind

  Friendship's like an Eagle
that floats upon the wind
taking you ever closer
to a place where few have been
A bonding of a lifetime
In which two people share
Their thoughts with one another
and show how much you care
A person you can talk to
Who doesn't make demands
but just sits back and listens
and tries to understand
Someone to share your troubles
and lend a helping hand
To walk right there beside you
Through the deep and drifting sand
So if you ever meet somebody
Who wants to be your friend
Just let the friendship soar
Like an Eagle on the Wind....

Yes, it is a morning for soaring birds. I've also seen a lot of flappers.

Did you hear that Trump is being fined 1,250.00 a day for flying a large American flag on his OWN property in Palm Beach??

Trump has vowed to fight the town to keep his flag, too.

Good for him!

Years ago I put a flag up at my house and today a good portion of this neighborhood flies flags daily. Persist with good thoughts.

Poetry.

It's what the heart says
when the brain does not work
it is the elements tugging
at emotions when the head says no

It is a song bird a gift from God
who unashamedly sings praise of love

and the incurable heart of the Romantic
born to sing of love. To feel it -to give it.

That poem is beautiful!

It makes me wish I could write poetry today, but I have to get ready for art class tonight.

It might be an odd class night. It's a small winter class and one student is working overtime tonight, one's car blew its engine, and one has a terrible cold. The fourth, a new student, may be the only one I have - if she shows. If not, I'll be home early.

Just came in with the email.

Coffee Vs The Cup Its In

A group of alumni, highly established in their careers, got together to visit their old university professor. Conversation soon turned into complaints about stress in work and life. Offering his guests coffee, the professor went to the kitchen and returned with a large pot of coffee and an assortment of cups -- porcelain, plastic, glass, crystal, some plain looking, some expensive, some exquisite -- telling them to help themselves to the coffee.

When all the students had a cup of coffee in hand, the professor said: "If you noticed, all the nice looking expensive cups were taken up, leaving behind the plain and cheap ones. While it is normal for you to want only the best for yourselves, that is the source of your problems and stress.

Be assured that the cup itself adds no quality to the coffee. In most cases it is just more expensive and in some cases even hides what we drink.

What all of you really wanted was coffee, not the cup, but you consciously went for the best cups... And then you began eyeing each other's cups. Now consider this: Life is the coffee; the jobs, money and position in society are the cups. They are just tools to hold and contain Life, and the type of cup we have does not define, nor change the quality of Life we live. Sometimes, by concentrating only on the cup, we fail to enjoy the coffee God has provided us."

"God brews the coffee, not the cups.... Enjoy your coffee! The happiest people don't have the best of everything. They just make the best of everything."

"Live simply. Love generously. Care deeply. Speak kindly. Leave the rest to God. You are the miracle, my friend, Your life either shines a light -- or casts a shadow. Live Simply, Love Generously, Care Deeply, Speak Kindly and Leave the Rest to God."

Sweet Dragonfly

You will see me when it's light,
My colors dazzle and delight.
I'm ancient in the world you live
And if you ask me, I shall give...

The wisdom that is mine, is yours
A set of keys for all the doors
You'll need to open, one by one
Until your earthly work is done.

With love and magick, you shall weave
Together all that you believe.
To form a blessed soul connection
And find a path of new direction.

Take my energy deep within
And feel the transformation begin.
On my healing powers, you can rely
For I am you, Sweet Dragonfly!

24 here today and I'm awaiting another antibiotic to be called into my pharmacy. Been getting a couple respiratory infections a year since pneumonia three years ago. It robs all energy, so I'm knackered.

How are you?
