LOL, it sure is that cold. I have to go grocery shopping this afternoon. Oh well, I will have to bundle up.
Cold here, too, and I shouldget groceries, but I'm going one further than you and not goin out at all today. It's too cold and I'm too tired.
Ah well, good for you to rest. How did the contest go the other night??
Thankfully a couple more Lions showed up to see if I needed help. I was as busy as a one-armed paper hanger and it was still tons of fun.
Thank you for the art mouse! I love it enough that I nabbed it before answering you! LOL!
HUGS!
You're welcome Lady. ;)
It just had Lady Jag all over it.
Tis the Season!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Anything for celebrating a birthday too hard??
Good morning,
Ms Feather!
You and the Moon
The old man comes and goes,
roundly yet still hanging overhead
and heavy with his burden,
she sinks deeply in his throws.
Heaven beneath light he sends,
does he smile on her tonight,
or does his dark side scowl?
Where he rises is where she ends.
On fields a dusky orb will shine
a light that's luminescent.
And basking in that afterglow,
only shadows see, who's left behind.
He waxes, and he wanes.
Pulls and pushes on her tides.
Waters ebb where she cannot see,
and she's tied to his refrains.
Are you new?
Full of promise and possibility?
Or are you full
of ceaseless duplicity?
When you hear a gray dog howling,
it's just her, loving you and the Moon.
Are you only half of what I know
my sad, transient, old friend?
You herald coming harvests that,
under grey skies our flowers never grow.
Now you rise somewhere in the East
where another star brightly shines.
Leaving behind you other sunsets,
and tables barren, absent their feast.
Low and pale, and far away
is how I'm seeing you tonight.
That smiling face I no longer touch.
And recalling the setting, still I bay.
You wax and you wane.
Pull and push on my tides.
My waters ebb, and now I see
that I'm bound to your refrain.
Are you new?
Full of promise and possibility?
Or are you full
of unrelenting duplicity?
And should you hear a black dog howling,
it's just me, missing you, and the Moon.
Now I'm only half of what I know,
shadows of what I could have been.
No else to blame, I am the reason,
that in your skies, I set so low.
I searched high for another setting,
for planets not yet aligned.
And yearned for warmer heavens,
still left cold and not forgetting.
Low and pale, and far away
is how I'm seeing me tonight.
The smiling face - I no longer touch.
Recalling the setting, still I bay.
I wax and I wane.
Pull and push on my tides.
Waters ebb, and so now regret,
that I'm bound to this refrain.
So I'm new now,
with promise and possibility.
And yet also full
of endless duplicity.
And if I hear a blue dog howling,
would it be you? Missing me and the Moon?
Good morning,
Ms Feather!
Well, now Tom, this pic sure stretches the imagination.
Mernin' to you.
A wonderful old time Christmas card.
