My Dragon Fly and Me
If I could be a Dragon Fly and wing my way through the sky I would never be shy just me and my Dragon Fly!
By moonlight we ride the wind chase the comets tail for fun by day we would hide from the sun our fragile wings would come undone
On darkest nights we would use fireflies as our guide we would dip and we would glide through the heavens open wide and scatter diamonds in the night sky my Dragon Fly and me...
And we would wing past our lovers silent in the night... to kiss their face in our flight much to their surprise and delight my Dragon Fly and me in sight...
Such a view do we share away up here in the air of breezes soft through our hair my Dragon Fly and me a pair...

We have both, not a lot of snow, but it is cold. Oh, we do have lovely sunshine-makes one think it is warm out. It ain't.
To: Soaring Feather
I'll trade you for the sun...

I am soooo tired of winter!
At least in Boise, there are lots and lots of sunny winter days and not a huge amount of snow.

Have you had a bad winter? Ours has been weird as usual and better than usual. Whenever our winters start out easy they end miserably, so we're still waiting. :º)

Just colder than I like!
And it's the lack of light that gets me more...it's actually not been a particularly bad winter at all. I just don't like winter this far north!

We've had mostly dark days since September and I understand. It's gotten to me, too. I work mostly at home with 4 cats and the cats make gray days hard on the accomplishment ladder because they want to cuddle up with the pride and I'm the pride's boss. LOL!
Even without cats it's awfully hard to be productive with all these dismal days beginning to wear on you.
C'mon, Sun, wake up!!

Frosted lawns sparkle like diamond strewn fields Vehicles huddle in their icy shrouds Cheeks slapped red by frigid air Every breath a tiny cloud Fingers wrapped in gloves' fraudulent warmth Naked trees bend laden boughs Pale sun labors through opaque, iron-clad sky And struggles to pierce winter morning pall.

Hello, Lady Jag. Such a precious graphic and poem. Thank You.
We are cold here still, had some fluffy white stuff in the night. Bright sun again today.
Your skies still overcast? Hope not you need some sunshine.
To: Soaring Feather
It's gotten all the way up to 20 from the 14 of 2 hours ago.
No white stuff, though.
Odd that we should have such beautiful sun on a frigid day.

That's normal for around these parts in January, usually the only month with clear blue skies.
To: Soaring Feather
The weatherman says clear skies let the warmth escape on days like this. I'm a believer.

Oh, yes, it's only 18 degrees here. Beautiful sun shine with wind chill at 10.

January
Time to bed in
After excessive holiday
Stay in the warm
With leftover Christmas treats
Repeating TV rocks the cradle
Make the annual plea
To your better senses
To somehow wake up
To the resplendid chaos of the past
The shadow-long was cast
In silver-studded diamonds of love
Black witches spell comes out white
In Persil wash
But she aint kidding no-one
For long
Masquerade please fall
Shed off this old skin
Let new years air breathe her in
To gentlest touch of skin
Renewal rebirth of hope if nothing more
Resolutions to keep or to break
The mystery of tomorrow.
