We found a page on the internet where people wrote about symptoms they manifested after prolonged exposure to Coumadin. Most of Jeanne's symptoms were listed right there on that page, even though most of them are not on the list provided by the druggist.

But my main reason for thinking the drugs could have been the real problem is that her symptoms started shortly after initial administration. She never had them before. Not a coincidence IMO.

Anyhow, now we've taken a step, if it works, fine, if not, at least we know we have to look elsewhere.

Finding the web site with others' experiences using that medication was a stroke of luck. Wishing Jeanne the best of luck in finding a medication that works!

Sam, I was put on Warfarin, which is Coumadin, for a short time, when the Doc was concerned about my heart palpitations. The problem was, if the heart wasn't pumping efficiently and dumping the blood properly, a clot could form. That was the reason for the warfarin, which is a blood thinner. I HATED the way it made me feel, so after I'd gone to the Cardiologist and he told me that there were no underlying heart problems, I told my regular Doc that I wanted OFF the Warfarin.

I asked him what I could do that would replicate what the warfarin would do, without the side effects. He told me that if I took one 81mg aspirin every day, it would be fine. So that's what I've been doing for the last 5 years. I very rarely have heart palpitations anymore, but if I do, the aspirin takes care of making sure the blood is thinned just enough!
