I read somewhere that the leaders of the Communist Party in the Soviet Union, when they saw the end coming in the early 80's decided to latch themselves to the new environmental movement. They saw it as a way to push their socialist ideas, but do it in a way that would be difficult to argue against. After all, who DOESN'T want clean air and water?
I can believe that completely! That's why I call the hard-core enviroweenies "Watermelons"; green on the outside, red on the inside!
*snort* Did you lift that directly from DU?
Heh, no... I was just paraphrasing some comments on the youtube site. I don't think I mischaracterized it. :-)
No, you didn't mischaracterize it... and stuff. :)
That's pretty accurate.... shudder.

Dang...you cut and pasted that, didn't you?

Once, way back in high school, the band was playing a gig out at Evergreen State College. There was a guy standing on a little hill. In a mushroom suit. He was wearing a little sign that said he was "The Grand Shroom".
It was probably a coursework assignment, being that it was Evergreen and all.
Shroomology 302 - Greaaat class, man. B~)
Well, I must admit to thinking more in Scots.
I have yet to go to the Evergreen campus. But judging from the Greeners you see around...I imagine it's a bit of a scary place.
Your story would tend to back up that theory.
mmmmm...Scotch...
what?...oh...nevermind...
So, tonight was PTA night at Chick-Fil-A. A percentage of all the receitpts goes to Luke's school.
Mrs. realized halfway through dinner that she had lost an earring. She asked if I noticed it. She was on the phone (other ear) when I got there, so no, I didn't.
She made some side comment about ~me~ not being very observant.
Oh? Really?

Nope.
You're a stronger man than I.

I thought it was the moustache that went missing!
They may look scary, but by and large they're too lazy to ever really be dangerous.
