I'll have the germinating seeds in that front bedroom under a grow light. It's lots warmer in there.
The devices deal? I saw bits of it, but dunno the term Mooninites and don't recognize that thing Corin posted.
I'm culturally backwards this week, what can I say?
Mornin'.
It's -4 here... don't think we're getting up to eight today.
I think we're heading for the deep freeze next week. Right now it's 22, sunny, and we have 2" of snow.
We've hit he double digits so by comparison, it's balmy here. :-)
Yeah, the "devices" were little widgets like the one Corin posted, without the date and the "Never Forget" on them. Just the figure shootin' the finger. The figure is a "Mooninite", from the cartoon "Aqua Teen Hunger Force". I've never seen it, but it's turned up on the weekly "24" thread quite a lot, because of the resemblance of some of this season's characters to the AQTF characters:
Meatwad:
Frylock:
All right, I'm cool! ;)
mmmm...Saturday...
laundry, paperwork, getting Jr's phone replaced (it broke) and making invitations for Luke's ~seventh~ birthday party...
Mornin' folkses...
I've seen that Aqua Teen Hunger Force toon a couple of times. I've given it a chance but it doesn't really grab me yet. Don't quite get it.
I've been plowing through the junk mail...
...well lookee here...the gas bill!
It's always ~something~ with you isn't it? :~)
We may, or may not, do a darn thing today :~D Haven't decided. Maybe after breakfast.
If you were domestic on United that'd be terminal 3 and the bar would've been the "Crab Pot" in those days. It's next to gate 70. Standard brass rail and mahogany layout. The bartender would've been a smiling but surly grey-haired black gentleman named "Jesse". Jesse's been there since before there were airplanes. He's got a son that played football but always wished he'd have played baseball.
They remodeled the whole thing over the last couple of years. Now its all artsy and bright. Blechh.
I have fantasy dreams about a boring life...
I made it here.
18 here...
spent the mornin' with mrsnad draggin' debris away from the lane... we used a chain, the ATV, and a bow saw, and in 3 1/2 hours, we got about 1/3 of thelane done... round two after lunch...
I'm blessed tuh have a help mate that's willin' tuh do that kinda werk alongside me in these conditions... and a daughter thats able tuh handle her two brothers while we're werkin'...
I remember Jesse... thru a haze...
if'n yuh have a .22, tape a 20 oz soda bottle over the end... use subsonic ammo... good fer two or three shots...
not that I've ever done that...
That site's pretty fun, actually...
me too, as it would happen. Way back when, I was commuting back and forth every other week for a couple of years. Got a lot of hours logged with my elbows on that bar. Got to know everybody there.
It's wierd to be a "regular" in a place that's hundreds of miles from home. It's also surprising how many regulars there are. There's an astonishing number of people that commute that way. Sometimes it seemed like it was all the same people every time.
Ok...here goes. Gonna give it a try! I'll let you know!
