The Hobbit Hole XXXII - Sweet is the sound of falling rain
The Freeper Hobbit Hole Blog ^ | December 1, 2006

Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!

Sing hey! for the bath at close of day
That washes the weary mud away!
A loon is he that will not sing:
O! Water Hot is anoble thing!

O! Sweet is the sound of falling rain.
and the brook that leaps from hill to plain;
but better than rain or rippling streams
is Water Hot that smokes and steams.

O! Water cold we may pour at need
down a thirsty throat and be glad indeed;
but better is Beer, if drink we lack,
and Water Hot poured down the back.

O! Water is fair that leaps on high
in a fountain white beneath the sky;
but never did fountain sound so sweet
as splashing Hot Water with my feet!

I went on a bit of a cheap movie binge at Fred Meyer...including "Ferris Bueller's Day Off".

*cue cool car music*

So maybe we could watch that sometime soon...

Yeah, it is a diesel pickup, Dodge, so it takes 2 batteries to turn the engine over. I've been driving it for 10 years now, or I guess 11 years is closer to the mark. A very good vehicle.

Ugh, I think this one's over. But I guess our slump isn't yet.

Sounds good, I wondered where you'd gone off to. :~) We could do a movie night tonight.

I still have to run out one more time before tonight...have to get a violin bow mailed out, if'n Fed-Ex carries mailing tubes, and if I can find the nearest Fed-Ex place.

Hm...maybe I could go questing for KFC when I go.

mmmmm.... KFC!

There's a UPS store in the same complex as Albertsons in Tumwater.

I'm supposed to find Fed-Ex, though. Apparently UPS doesn't always actually bring stuff to the house at home. :-\

Go figure.

I think there's a Fed-Ex Kinko's place over by the Pacific Ave. exit - in the Albertsons complex there.

And there's a KFC further down, on Lacey Blvd...which is what has me thinkin'.

Any special requests?

Wasn't gonna go until right before movie time...since nothing Fed-Ex goes out on Saturday anyway, there's no rush.

Well, learn something new everyday, figured the diesels just one big ol' battery (special order type).

And now that I learned something new, an old bit of knowledge got deleted, wonder what I forgot?

Yes, I know, thanks for reminding me. :) However, we have one out with mono and one with a skull fracture. Plus, it looks like we may have lost our leading scorer to an ankle injury. But jeepers, we've just been playing bad lately.

Ooh I like everything they make... original recipe is good, all the sides are good. I've been craving anything KFC for weeks. :~)

Yeah...I should get some one of these days. They have 'em in Tacoma. Not super close, but maybe sometime when I'm up visiting my brother...I can either get some or convince them to pick up some for dinner. ;-)

KFC is a lot closer, though.

That's because the Colonel puts an addictive chemical in his chicken that makes you crave it fortnightly...

I guess they figure you can pick up 2 batteries, one at a time, and run them parallel easier than manhandling a huge one? There are some huge marine batteries around...I can barely pick one of those up, much less carry it anywhere.

Not sure what I forgot today, but I know it's something...OTOH, I'm pretty sure I don't use my brain that efficiently to start with! So hopefully it ain't full yet :-)

It's just baffling because we were playing great up until about 3 weeks ago, and now we've lost 5 of the last 7 games. I think this is one of the worst blowouts we've ever suffered.
