The Hobbit Hole XXXII - Sweet is the sound of falling rain
The Freeper Hobbit Hole Blog ^ | December 1, 2006

Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!

Sing hey! for the bath at close of day
That washes the weary mud away!
A loon is he that will not sing:
O! Water Hot is anoble thing!

O! Sweet is the sound of falling rain.
and the brook that leaps from hill to plain;
but better than rain or rippling streams
is Water Hot that smokes and steams.

O! Water cold we may pour at need
down a thirsty throat and be glad indeed;
but better is Beer, if drink we lack,
and Water Hot poured down the back.

O! Water is fair that leaps on high
in a fountain white beneath the sky;
but never did fountain sound so sweet
as splashing Hot Water with my feet!

Cyn looks mighty stylish in her blanket.

She does, doesn't she? It was nice enough yesterday that the blankets probably could have come off, but we didn't bother, we'd just have to put them back on in a couple hours :~)

We had to run her off after I took the picture though, she was going to do some kind of damage to the truck if allowed to entertain herself.

Our road got plowed sometime last night so my drive was easy. I'm happy, the snow is bac to pristine condition and it doesn't affect me doing what I want so this is perfect winter weather.

I've missed the snow.

It's a Monday...do I have to answer?

I'm well enough to work. Just don't wanna. ;-)

Not completely...but down to bad cold status at this point. And I've already had up to three days without pay in the last few weeks...I can't afford more.

As for tonight, maybe I could come if I bring a hazmat suit? *sigh*

I just got this image of your tv pointed at the window and Rosie outside, nose up against the glass, watching 24 so she won't infect anyone with her dread germs.

Sorry, I'm not laughing at you, Rosie. It was just a weird image and it's Monday so I thought I'd share. Also it's driving creepy dream memories from last night out - stuff involving murderous demon babies with self destruct sequences. Shudder.

Mornin' peoples... :-)

[sip]

Well... I've taken the leap. Well, OK, maybe not "the" leap, but "a" leap of sorts.

Bought a bicycle over the weekend. And one of those trainer stands. [pant][pant]

It's fun. [pant][pant]

And needed... [pant][pant]

I need something get outside and get some excercise and some air and yadda yadda. This one isn't too fancy. If it sticks and turns into something that I keep doing, I'll go back for the fancier bike. But until then... this one is useful enough.

:-)

Oh dear...I guess that'd work, though.

And Cisco would be happy to keep my company. But then, he's happy to do anything at all. Way happy.

Hey, good for you! That's great!

My bike is going to need series adjusting when it gets warm enough to take it back out again, I'm afraid. The brakes keep rubbing, almost no matter how I adjust 'em. Makes for a real workout, but...
