The Hobbit Hole XXXII - Sweet is the sound of falling rain
The Freeper Hobbit Hole Blog ^ | December 1, 2006

Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!

Sing hey! for the bath at close of day
That washes the weary mud away!
A loon is he that will not sing:
O! Water Hot is anoble thing!

O! Sweet is the sound of falling rain.
and the brook that leaps from hill to plain;
but better than rain or rippling streams
is Water Hot that smokes and steams.

O! Water cold we may pour at need
down a thirsty throat and be glad indeed;
but better is Beer, if drink we lack,
and Water Hot poured down the back.

O! Water is fair that leaps on high
in a fountain white beneath the sky;
but never did fountain sound so sweet
as splashing Hot Water with my feet!

Yep! It's part of the reason I watch it. ;-)

I've also seen someone wanting to trade massage for dental work. Stuff like that. Heh...

There'll be no fires here unless I want to stare at the stove. I'll stay up to see the ball drop and have a glass or two of champagne.

We've got little fine flakes here. Not much to look at but at least the squirrels look cold. :)

Okay, now that you determined the appropriate medication, it remains only to determine the correct dosage.

oh, you already said 'bottle'.

Merlot, Shiraz, Pinot Noir, Thunderbird?

We'll be joining the squirrels. The whiny-butt dog has to, just has to, go for her afternoon walk. Brrrrr! LSA

I'm trying to decide if I'm motivated enough to go out looking for weddin' clothes, considering I only have today and then next weekend to look, really.

But I already did *town* yesterday. Hard to get up motivation two days in a row.

I'm staying home from Mass cause I've had a bit of, uh, intestinal distress today, myself.

Sure hope the Stormhands household starts the New Year off better than the old one is ending. Good luck with the appointment for Nana. It's never an easy decision.

That is a blast from the past. Those were the days..

We used to listen to Harry Billy's Navajo Hour on the radio during our stay on The Rim. He advertised TB, Roma tokay(?) and Santa Fe (best kind all the way). Have to admit I've never tried any of them.

Didn't know Cisco had a wine named after him...

Heh, don't remember that one. We used to get Boones Farm in a plastic quart cup when we'd go to Mardi Gras. They had a no-glass policy, which was started in the early 70's to keep the streets of the French Quarter a little safer.
