The same could have been said about my '87 Dodgers, who beat the Mets (repeat chokers) and whupped the supposedly much better A's. The Dodgers had NO offense (Kirk Gibson had only one at bat, but he mae it count . . . a ninth inning grand slam). Poor Orel Hershiser's arm was going to fall off as he started AND relieved.
