WELCOME RACE FANS

Welcome to the offseason withdrawal thread which is here for everyone to post racing news during the time between Nov 20, 2006 and Feb 10, 2007 when The Budweiser Shootout begins the new season.

As always this thread is dedicated to our military men and women serving our country. A big thank you to all of them. Hugs and prayers to those who have been wounded and are recuperating at Walter Reed, Bethesda and Brooke Army Med Center. And, to those combat field medics who care for them - THANK YOU!!

Same to you and your family ST.

Look who's up early today too! :)

I am personally very thankful to know all of you here on the Nascar thread.

I am more than thankful to our military guys and gals protecting us both near and far. They are there, far from their families today so that we have the freedom to have a safe and happy day.

There is always the Chili Bowl in Tulsa January 10-13, 2007. An excellent event!

Y'all are invited over this afternoon for lots of left overs. There will be plenty left over after the yearly family food fight!

Granddaughter is not here this year but wife is setting a place for her to balance the table. It's family only because if we invite one outsider it opens Pandora's box...

Mornin!

Happy Thanksgiving. Turkey is in the oven, coffee is started, I found the off season thread... just don't know which updating doppler to post.

I think I'll ignite one of those turkey fryers on the deck... should give me something to do for the next four hours. (Post your turkey fire explosion links here.)

Good morning Mr. Rocks. Big Bird goes in the oven later for a 2PM finish. We have no competition this year because the daughter's in-laws fled town. Y'all sure get a head start back yonder.

Cold and clear behind the Redwood Curtain. We have had plenty of rain already and it has slowed my plans to plant 100 Heather plants in a long narrow bed beside the garden fence.

Speaking of fire I posted a warning to a fryer newbie on the Carlo Bird thread. Little things like, not in the house, not on a wooden deck and premeasure the oil displacement. I'm not a fry cook but I stayed at a Motel 6 once

ESPN is getting back into the game? Hallelujah!

They have the best sound. You can actually hear the cars.

And no Darrell Waltrip!

Just this morning we were driving up US 101 and I turned to my First Wife and said "FW, this is US 101"...after a few minutes FW turned to me and said, " SHUTUP AND DRIVE!"...

and that's how the day went...

Thanks, I always love leftovers.....but just the way they were on Thanksgiving.

I don't like to make other things out of them.

Although, turkey and craberry sandwiches are yummy with sprouts.

I love Brussels Sprouts!!!

My favorite left over dish is Turkey Soup with home made egg noodles like my Momma used to make!

For now it is warmed over everything from yesterday. We both agree here that it tastes much better the next day...

Great pictures from Hawaii.

Son, daughter and I spend last week at Disney World. Forgot how much fun it is there. I have new respect for Disney. Yes, there was a complete manger scene with religious Christmas carols playing. I couldn't believe it. Not so funny thing; I sprained my knee and had to ride one of those rental scooters all week in the park. While it hurt bad it did get us to the front of the lines in the handicapped line.

Son and I survived Thanksgiving. Made our first turkey together. All went well. He bought white asparagus (how do they do that?).

Went to work at Hershey Chocolate World yesterday. Why when you come back from vacation and you go to work, it seems like you never went on vacation?
