A Marine friend and a Navy friend of mine used to go back and forth. The Navy friend used to say Marine stood for "Marines All Ride in Navy Equipment".

I tried that when I was in the service, they did not buy it. They thought I made it up just to have a day off. Then we had a master chief who was raise in NV. When I asked again he let just those from NV to have the day off....suddenly I had people coming out of the wood work that were my neighbors for just one day off.....LOL
