"The Main Stream Media controls what a majority of voters think."
It seems to me that the media is in deeper trouble than the GOP! He who laughs last laughs best.
Of course the zealots in the liberal press are not concerned with posterity or anything save their own agenda.
It is good to see you posting Sir.
I E-mailed you a while back but it came back to me unreceived.

It seems to me that the media is in deeper trouble than the GOP!I don't think so. I doubt if there are more than a handful of congress members and Senators who believe that one can oppose the positions of the media and survive. Note that both Frist and Lugar say they will not have a vote on Bolton to be confirmed as the Untited Nations Ambassador.
The Republicans are afraid of anyone or anything the media does not like. The main stream media has more power than it has ever had. Both parties are full of people afraid to oppose them. Unless we find a way to change the media's position there are no politicians in either party who will challenge the media.
This last election was between the Republican party and the media. The media won. No politician will forget that for many years.

I suppose that I'll never be able to be as pragmatic as you seem to be.
I've always been rather optimistic towards just about everything in life. It seems to me to be quite a discouraging thing to have to look this tiger in the eye. On the surface it appears to be a disaster. Is there a silver lining to all of this in your view?
I mean, I know that I don't want to believe that you are right about these things while the evidence seems to indicate that you are correct.
On the other hand, we could just be looking at all of this from the wrong angle. I'll need to think about these things more.
Meanwhile, I've been rather busy in recent months, and I do not get to read the news, or even watch much TV. I do not get what the so called "moderates/media" are all about. More of the same here until at least late next Summer, God willing.
I'll just spend a bit less time worrying about politics for the next several months at least if I can.
Again, I am pleased that you seem to be OK and in good spirits.
