AMERICA - The Right Way!! (Day 2117) [Remember the Trade Center!!]
Various News Sources and FReepers | The Day After... | All of Us

Posted on 11/08/2006 4:57:52 AM PST by Chairman_December_19th_Society

We will not tire, we will not falter, and we will not fail!

Good morning!!

Do not let the victims of the attacks on New York and Washington, nor the brave members of our Nation's military who have given their lives to protect our freedom, die in vain!!

First--Virginia.

Sad to say, not going to get there.

With 99.75% of the precincts reporting (side note, this is supposed to be an electronic state--there are still outstanding votes?)...

Allen: -0.36%
Pricincts Out: 6
Estimated Votes Remaning: 6,000
Allen Deficit: 8,359

What is interesting is that all of the late precincts, which are predominately early voters, are breaking heavily for Webb--90% or better in most cases. With the remaining votes, if they continue to break for Webb, there won't be an automatic recount.

The big story in the state? The marriage amendment. Time and again in precinct decomposition, it could be seen that predominately black precincts were going overwhelmingly for the amendment, but the same precincts were trouncing Allen. Conclusion--black congregations turned out big time to vote for marriage. While there, heck, punch the screen for Webb. Kind of ironic--a iconic conservative issue does in the conservative.

Frankly, it's hard to say there's something up, because "early voting" areas do, in fact, correlate with blue areas. We'll see.

Now, for the rest of the story.

It is looking like the RAT party will have somewhere around 230 seats in the 110th Congress. We will have Speaker Pelosi, and chairmans of the ilk that includes Rangell, Waxman, Conyers, Dingell, and so on.

In the Senate--it's up to Virginia and Montana. If we win one of those states, the senate has 50 Republicans. If we win both, 51. Again, there's a certain sanguinity about Virginia. Montana's not that great either, though there's only about 2,000 votes separating the two, with the RAT leading, 91% in, with about 32,000 votes left to count. Obviously, if we lose both, we lose the Senate.

Some good news out of all this--many of the liberal Republicans in the Senate are gone. This will give us the opportunity to build up a solid conservative foundation on the Senate side. In the House, we've got to find Newt II, though with a bit more suave than Newt.

Moving forward, the media says the election was about Iraq, immigration, and corruption. Forget the last two. By the time folks rolled into the ballot box, the corruption surrounding, for example, Foley had faded into the past. Immigration is rather neutral, actually. It had enough proponets and detractors that it probably washed out.

Then there's Iraq. The media, naturally, says the vote was against being in Iraq.

Nope, wrong answer. The correct thing is people are wanting to GET IT DONE! They don't see progress, but then media types haven't been to good at showing progress. The prediction here is that it'll be like the homeless, not a problem now that RATS are in charge somewhere. They have a plan, after all. (By the way, when it's found, ping the assembled.)

But, as usual, the media got it half right. People, in my opinion, and based on those I have talked to, see America over-focused on Iraq. Can't say as I blame them. President Bush said there were three entities in the Axis of Evil, Iraq, Iran, and North Korea. We eliminated one, but what about the other two?

One went on and developed nuclear weapons, the other is on its way. That's scaring the bejesus out of the average American, particularly as they see the United States being relatively impotent on the matter. We keep yapping, but they keep right on with their nuclear programs. The American people, I would argue, demand action in these areas; Iraq would be much less of an issue if we could address Iran and North Korea.

The other piece of good news is we still have over 40 Senators. The RATS will now learn how hard it is to run the Senate.

Short run prediction, the White House will trot up a budget in February for fiscal year 2008 that will have bunches of goodies in it, daring the House to say "no". It is the opening shot of the 2008 campaign.

And what about the 2008 campaign? Here's the really big message from last night. It is clear that coattails are back in play. Whoever runs in 2008 will have them. We need a big time, brand name Republican to run for the White House.

At the moment, the marquis is empty. Looking for volunteers.

For AMERICA - The Right Way, I remain yours in the Cause, the Chairman.

Good morning, Jane! I feel some better today, somewhat like a hangover after waking up from a nightmare has started to subside; And I see an enemy that has won a battle, gloating and boasting like I have never seen before.

A seed of determined resolve is starting to sprout.

GOOD on you, Miss Marple. No FNC for me either and this is my second day. I do not miss it at all!

Yikes, IG -- '08 has already started! Lord have mercy.

I'm kicking myself to the curb until I complete my chores. I have to find places to stash my stuff before the housekeeper arrives. I have really piled up a lot of "treasures" I must sort and discard.

Oh, I imagine we will see a lot of democrat candidates emerging. They think that the White House is within their grasp after this election. It should be entertaining watching them go at each other.

One thing about democrats is that they are incapable of being magnanimous in victory. Remmeber in 2002 President Bush had a "no gloating" rule after we won?

It just shows the difference in character. Mark my words, within 6 months they will do something that will enrage the public.

Absolutely agree. Whenever we have won, we gloated amongst ourselves at most. We did NOT gloat in our adversary's face, as they are doing to us with glee and even to the point of taunting.

Yes, the difference in character started becoming so obvious with uox42 and today has even reached new heights. They are a people that know absolutely no shame.

>>Mark my words, within 6 months they will do something that will enrage the public.

For somebody like me, believing that we should have a government the size of a molecule, anything they do is irritating.

As was the previous years under RINO rule. Arguably our last chance to reverse the Great Society and other liberal excesses.

In yesterday's show, Rush said it was lack of leadership from Bush. The 'Pubs had no ideology light beam and were in a free-for-all and instead of going right they veered left. Then Bush in his speech accepted blame.

It's a good time to rethink it all

"I've always wondered why Republicans insist on acting like Democrats in hopes of retaining political power, while Democrats act like us in order to win." - Dick Armey

How nice to find your ping! I TIVO'd a lot of shows I enjoy, like Matlock and Murder She Wrote. I do not miss FNC at all!

I just looked at an email from a childhood friend who is very active in her church.

She wrote, "Just P.U.S.H." = pray until something happens!

Please don't quote Rush to me. When he takes responsibility for creating that Michael J. Fox flap I might pay attention to him.

As I told Two-thirds last night, had Rush had an ounce of PR sense he would have expressed sympathy for Michael J. Fox, explained why he was mistaken in a kind way, and then gone after the democrats for lying to Fox and using him. The deception about that amendment would have been refuted and discussed, the Rats could have been shown as the vultures they are, and everyone could have sympathy for Fox while disagreeing with him.

Instead, Rush injected himself and his irritating and mocking comments (and I heard the whole thing) and made himself part of the election. And let me tell you something, people like my swing voter sisters do NOT like Rush. That's a fact.

And then Rush makes a big deal on yesterday's program about how BUSH should show leadership...this from someone who has NEVER run for political office, campaigned, or even REGISTERED TO VOTE until a few years ago. And on top of that, he announced he was going on vacation.

Sorry for the rant, but if Rush wants to do something productive, he will take a look at how HIS behavior contributed to the loss.

Hi, Guennie! Nope, no FOX for me, either. I will be interested to see their ratings when the new numbers come out. Besides losing the people who only watch news in the week or so before an election, they have lost a fair number of people like us who are just sick of how they have changed the last two years.

On the plus side, however, I notice that my blood pressure seems to be down, I have more time to get things done, and I am learning lots of new recipes! I also have more prayer time.

There is truth in that old saying, "When you are given lemons, make lemonade."
