AMERICA - The Right Way!! (Day 2117) [Remember the Trade Center!!]
Various News Sources and FReepers | The Day After... | All of Us

Posted on 11/08/2006 4:57:52 AM PST by Chairman_December_19th_Society

We will not tire, we will not falter, and we will not fail!

Good morning!!

Do not let the victims of the attacks on New York and Washington, nor the brave members of our Nation's military who have given their lives to protect our freedom, die in vain!!

First--Virginia.

Sad to say, not going to get there.

With 99.75% of the precincts reporting (side note, this is supposed to be an electronic state--there are still outstanding votes?)...

Allen: -0.36%
Pricincts Out: 6
Estimated Votes Remaning: 6,000
Allen Deficit: 8,359

What is interesting is that all of the late precincts, which are predominately early voters, are breaking heavily for Webb--90% or better in most cases. With the remaining votes, if they continue to break for Webb, there won't be an automatic recount.

The big story in the state? The marriage amendment. Time and again in precinct decomposition, it could be seen that predominately black precincts were going overwhelmingly for the amendment, but the same precincts were trouncing Allen. Conclusion--black congregations turned out big time to vote for marriage. While there, heck, punch the screen for Webb. Kind of ironic--a iconic conservative issue does in the conservative.

Frankly, it's hard to say there's something up, because "early voting" areas do, in fact, correlate with blue areas. We'll see.

Now, for the rest of the story.

It is looking like the RAT party will have somewhere around 230 seats in the 110th Congress. We will have Speaker Pelosi, and chairmans of the ilk that includes Rangell, Waxman, Conyers, Dingell, and so on.

In the Senate--it's up to Virginia and Montana. If we win one of those states, the senate has 50 Republicans. If we win both, 51. Again, there's a certain sanguinity about Virginia. Montana's not that great either, though there's only about 2,000 votes separating the two, with the RAT leading, 91% in, with about 32,000 votes left to count. Obviously, if we lose both, we lose the Senate.

Some good news out of all this--many of the liberal Republicans in the Senate are gone. This will give us the opportunity to build up a solid conservative foundation on the Senate side. In the House, we've got to find Newt II, though with a bit more suave than Newt.

Moving forward, the media says the election was about Iraq, immigration, and corruption. Forget the last two. By the time folks rolled into the ballot box, the corruption surrounding, for example, Foley had faded into the past. Immigration is rather neutral, actually. It had enough proponets and detractors that it probably washed out.

Then there's Iraq. The media, naturally, says the vote was against being in Iraq.

Nope, wrong answer. The correct thing is people are wanting to GET IT DONE! They don't see progress, but then media types haven't been to good at showing progress. The prediction here is that it'll be like the homeless, not a problem now that RATS are in charge somewhere. They have a plan, after all. (By the way, when it's found, ping the assembled.)

But, as usual, the media got it half right. People, in my opinion, and based on those I have talked to, see America over-focused on Iraq. Can't say as I blame them. President Bush said there were three entities in the Axis of Evil, Iraq, Iran, and North Korea. We eliminated one, but what about the other two?

One went on and developed nuclear weapons, the other is on its way. That's scaring the bejesus out of the average American, particularly as they see the United States being relatively impotent on the matter. We keep yapping, but they keep right on with their nuclear programs. The American people, I would argue, demand action in these areas; Iraq would be much less of an issue if we could address Iran and North Korea.

The other piece of good news is we still have over 40 Senators. The RATS will now learn how hard it is to run the Senate.

Short run prediction, the White House will trot up a budget in February for fiscal year 2008 that will have bunches of goodies in it, daring the House to say "no". It is the opening shot of the 2008 campaign.

And what about the 2008 campaign? Here's the really big message from last night. It is clear that coattails are back in play. Whoever runs in 2008 will have them. We need a big time, brand name Republican to run for the White House.

At the moment, the marquis is empty. Looking for volunteers.

For AMERICA - The Right Way, I remain yours in the Cause, the Chairman.

The GOP has dispatched lawyers to Virginia. Allen is refusing to concede, saying it is necessary to carefully count the paper absentee ballots, and recanvass votes already counted.

GOOD on Allen.
He must NOT concede prematurely.

Burns is still in play too.

Amen....Hold on Allen!

Even now, I will praise God for He is sovereign and He can turn things around in a heartbeat.

What might seem 'a disaster' to us God can turn for good.

I've seen this time and time again.

HAVE FAITH PEOPLE!!!!!! :))

If Allen goes down, I have to take a closer look at Romney. No way will I vote for McCain.

I was okay until I came into work this morning and one of my fellow teachers began to cry. Her son is an intelligence officer stationed in Iraq.

She told me, they are going to do to my son, what they did to my husband during VietNam.

The RATS will now learn how hard it is to run the Senate.

Really? Based on what new-found republican senatorial backbone?

As I asked on the other thread, if a party refuses to act like the majority despite being granted it, did they really ever have it to begin with? They've been shown it's quite possible to lose what you are unwilling to utilize.

Good morning.

That's perhaps the most distressing post I've read all morning. Because I know it's quite likely true.

God bless our fine military and their families. Changing tagline.

Hello kassie, good to see you.

I must step away from the computer and regain my composure. And some faith...

Will check back in a bit. Mr. Prairie went after breakfast tacos.

I am disappointed to say the least. I have been upset by wild spending by the Republicans over the past 6 years, I have been upset by the Republicans acting like they were losers when we held both houses!!! I can't tell you how many times I screamed "WHERE IS YOUR BACKBONE!!"

There are lessons to be learned by yesterday's election. I pray we learn them!

The liberals are going to launch immediate investigation into the LIES President Bush told and Conyers is promising impeachment hearings.

Is it any wonder why so much of the world is losing respect for America? We have allowed the NUTS to run the institution. The MSM accomplished their fondest dream - the majority of voters bought their story - hook, line and sinker!

Please note my new tag line.

Allen was ahead all night,... right up until the last hour. It went bad quickly and he is right to question it and to demand a recount.

If it comes down to McInsane and Her Heinousness, I'll hold my nose and vote for Johnny, but in the primaries, I'll go with anybody else who's name isn't Pataki or Bloomberg.

Oh I'm so sorry, M. That is hard for your friend. Very personal, it is. It was an opportunity for you to comfort and console.

I've been under the weather the last couple of days, so went to bed about 6 last night. I woke up around 2:30 this morning to catch the results. My reward? Shemp Smith with that ultimate smug grin on his face rejoicing on the air. I could only take about two minutes of him shouting down his guests before I switched to the Food Network.

I see that bad news continues with Daniel Ortega winning in Nicaragua.
