AMERICA - The Right Way!! (Day 2117) [Remember the Trade Center!!]
Various News Sources and FReepers | The Day After... | All of Us

Posted on 11/08/2006 4:57:52 AM PST by Chairman_December_19th_Society

We will not tire, we will not falter, and we will not fail!

Good morning!!

Do not let the victims of the attacks on New York and Washington, nor the brave members of our Nation's military who have given their lives to protect our freedom, die in vain!!

First--Virginia.

Sad to say, not going to get there.

With 99.75% of the precincts reporting (side note, this is supposed to be an electronic state--there are still outstanding votes?)...

Allen: -0.36%
Pricincts Out: 6
Estimated Votes Remaning: 6,000
Allen Deficit: 8,359

What is interesting is that all of the late precincts, which are predominately early voters, are breaking heavily for Webb--90% or better in most cases. With the remaining votes, if they continue to break for Webb, there won't be an automatic recount.

The big story in the state? The marriage amendment. Time and again in precinct decomposition, it could be seen that predominately black precincts were going overwhelmingly for the amendment, but the same precincts were trouncing Allen. Conclusion--black congregations turned out big time to vote for marriage. While there, heck, punch the screen for Webb. Kind of ironic--a iconic conservative issue does in the conservative.

Frankly, it's hard to say there's something up, because "early voting" areas do, in fact, correlate with blue areas. We'll see.

Now, for the rest of the story.

It is looking like the RAT party will have somewhere around 230 seats in the 110th Congress. We will have Speaker Pelosi, and chairmans of the ilk that includes Rangell, Waxman, Conyers, Dingell, and so on.

In the Senate--it's up to Virginia and Montana. If we win one of those states, the senate has 50 Republicans. If we win both, 51. Again, there's a certain sanguinity about Virginia. Montana's not that great either, though there's only about 2,000 votes separating the two, with the RAT leading, 91% in, with about 32,000 votes left to count. Obviously, if we lose both, we lose the Senate.

Some good news out of all this--many of the liberal Republicans in the Senate are gone. This will give us the opportunity to build up a solid conservative foundation on the Senate side. In the House, we've got to find Newt II, though with a bit more suave than Newt.

Moving forward, the media says the election was about Iraq, immigration, and corruption. Forget the last two. By the time folks rolled into the ballot box, the corruption surrounding, for example, Foley had faded into the past. Immigration is rather neutral, actually. It had enough proponets and detractors that it probably washed out.

Then there's Iraq. The media, naturally, says the vote was against being in Iraq.

Nope, wrong answer. The correct thing is people are wanting to GET IT DONE! They don't see progress, but then media types haven't been to good at showing progress. The prediction here is that it'll be like the homeless, not a problem now that RATS are in charge somewhere. They have a plan, after all. (By the way, when it's found, ping the assembled.)

But, as usual, the media got it half right. People, in my opinion, and based on those I have talked to, see America over-focused on Iraq. Can't say as I blame them. President Bush said there were three entities in the Axis of Evil, Iraq, Iran, and North Korea. We eliminated one, but what about the other two?

One went on and developed nuclear weapons, the other is on its way. That's scaring the bejesus out of the average American, particularly as they see the United States being relatively impotent on the matter. We keep yapping, but they keep right on with their nuclear programs. The American people, I would argue, demand action in these areas; Iraq would be much less of an issue if we could address Iran and North Korea.

The other piece of good news is we still have over 40 Senators. The RATS will now learn how hard it is to run the Senate.

Short run prediction, the White House will trot up a budget in February for fiscal year 2008 that will have bunches of goodies in it, daring the House to say "no". It is the opening shot of the 2008 campaign.

And what about the 2008 campaign? Here's the really big message from last night. It is clear that coattails are back in play. Whoever runs in 2008 will have them. We need a big time, brand name Republican to run for the White House.

At the moment, the marquis is empty. Looking for volunteers.

For AMERICA - The Right Way, I remain yours in the Cause, the Chairman.

I already had a short list of which programs and pundits I would be listening to, but I have put distance between me and Fox/Hume, and now Rush is looking like a discard too.

To get my emotional strength back, I need to be a political know-nothing for a while, get Dose comfort, putter around doing mundane things, read some good books, listen to beautiful music, etc.

So I sit here wondering how long after the dems take control that the msm says how great we are doing in Iraq? Just my guess before they even take control or implement anything. Might even be later this week.

You know what get's me? One of the first things the President did in his press conference was take responsibility for the loss. Something that all of the blowhard conservatives that sit behind microphones, did not do.

I must admit that I've been thinking about some conversations I've had in the last week, and I confess that I wasn't listening carefully enough. You see, I was running around trying to defend Rush and his attack on MJF. That was wrong, and it hurt us much more than I thought it would. The last couple of days before the election the pro Amemdment 2 forces, made a commercial out of the dittocam video footage of Rush mocking MJF. It sunk not only Jim Talent but the anti-2 cause as well.

And while we were all pre-occupied talking about that in Missouri, a bill to increase the minimum wage, and index it to the CPI annually, passed by 75%!!

I don't know. I turned him off before the President's press conference, and have no intention to listen to him anymore.

Another question if Allen wins why does the media automatically assume that the one Independent Sen will go with the dems. Joe might have some payback on his mind.

I think Joe will go RAT, unless the GOP makes him an offer he can't refuse.

Yes, indeed. The President isn't going on vacation, is he?

I have alist of people I will absolutely NOT listen to anymore:

Ingraham
Coulter
Limbaugh
Savage
Kristol
Frum
Lowry
Hannity

Soooo, I guess everyone should buy stock in the company that runs HGTV and the Food Network. I am going to be cooking all sorts of things, and redecorating my house, while I listen to Catholic radio.

These pundits take our money and steal our time and they are horrible people; it's all about THEM: THEIR ratings and THEIR party invitations and THEIR income and THEIR way. Pfui. I will not buy another political book until the authorized Bush biography comes out. I won't listen to talk radio, either. Or Fox. I am done. All they are are leeches who take our money and when things get tough jump ship. I am really madder at them than the democrats!@

Hannity is sounding upbeat. I was very disappointed with Rush though. You and I need to start our own talk show! ;^)

It'll probably cost them a committee chair they aren't willing to give up. Indies in a toss-up Senate don't come cheap.

Give up one or give up all. Seems pretty easy to figure what is the best idea.

The absolutely best talk show ever was Tony Snow's. He actually sent staffers out to investigate things, he listened to both sides of an argument before rationally explaining his position, he didn't go off on rants, and he was respectful to all.

The rest of them are just blowhards or fishwives. WHY everyone thinks that a radio entertainer is the last word on serious government policy is beyond me. Rush, for example, has never run for office, never been involved in a campaign, never even VOTED until a few years ago when the media found out he wasn't registered. How is he more of an expert than I am? Because he's on radio? Pfui.

You and I could do a GREAT talk show, and when things got tough we wouldn't blame George Bush like a bunch of DU people. And when things like Katrina happened, we would have encouraged people and asked for the USA to pull together.

How come Rush didn't run a telethon for Katrina victims, if he didn't want that government money spent? How come he didn't calmly explain why Michael Fox was wrong, rather than making fun of him? The answer is that it's ALL ABOUT HIM, and always has been.

There are a lot of people on both sides of the political aisle who make their money by stirring up the people with false promises and fake ideology. Tell me how that Minuteman guy is any different than Jesse Jackson. They run around getting everyone stirred up and angry, promising lots of stuff that never happens, and then sock a lot of donations into their bank accounts.

I am really PO'd. Losing the elction was bad enough, but these fair-weather friends are simply not to be borne.

You are right to be angry, Jane. I concur with all your sentiments.

Maybe it would help if we all count our many blessings each day and pray hard for our wonderful military and great country.
Don't mean to sound pollyanish, but we must find a way to keep the BP down and gain strength to fight upcoming battles in order to sustain our freedoms.
We DO have many blessings individually......And yes, it's scary out there.

Prayers for each and every one of us!

HISTORY REVIEW

Humans existed as members of small bands of nomadic hunter/gatherers. They lived on deer in the mountains during the summer & would go to the coast and live on fish and lobster in the winter.

The 2 most important events in all of history were the invention of beer and the invention of the wheel. The wheel was invented to get man to the beer. These were the foundation of modern civilization and together were the catalyst for the splitting of humanity into 2 distinct subgroups: Liberals and Conservatives.

Once beer was discovered it required grain and that was the beginning of agriculture. Neither the glass bottle nor aluminum can were invented yet, so while our early human ancestors were sitting around waiting for them to be invented, they just stayed close to the brewery. That's how villages were formed.

Some men spent their days tracking and killing animals to B-B-Q at night while they were drinking beer. This was the beginning of what is known as "the Conservative movement."

Other men who were weaker and less skilled at hunting learned to live off the conservatives by showing up for the nightly B-B-Q's and doing the sewing, fetching and hair dressing. This was the beginning of the "Liberal movement". Some of these liberal men eventually evolved into women. The rest became known as ' girliemen.'

Some noteworthy liberal achievements include the domestication of cats, the invention of group therapy and group hugs and the concept of Democratic voting to decide how to divide the meat and beer that conservatives provided.

Over the years conservatives came to be symbolized by the largest, most powerful land animal on earth, the elephant. Liberals are symbolized by the jackass.

Modern liberals like imported beer (with lime added), but most prefer white wine or imported bottled water. They eat raw fish but like their beef well done. Sushi, tofu, and French food are standard liberal fare.

Another interesting revolutionary side note: most of their women have higher testosterone levels than their men! Most social workers, personal injury attorneys, journalists, dreamers in Hollywood and group therapists are liberals. Liberals invented the designated hitter rule because it wasn't "fair" to make the pitcher also bat.

Conservatives drink domestic beer. They eat red meat and still provide for their women. Conservatives are big-game hunters, rodeo cowboys, lumberjacks, construction workers, firemen, medical doctors, police officers, corporate executives, Marines, athletes and generally anyone who works productively. Conservatives who own companies hire other conservatives who want to work for a living.

Liberals produce little or nothing. They like to "govern" the producers and decide what to do with the production. Liberals believe Europeans are more enlightened than Americans. That is why most of the liberals remained in Europe when conservatives were coming to America. They crept in after the Wild West was tame and created a business of trying to get MORE for nothing.

Here ends today's lesson in world history:

It should be noted that a Liberal may have a momentary urge to respond to the above before simply forwarding it. A Conservative will be so convinced of the absolute truth of this history that it will be forwarded immediately.

I voted my faith, and I can live with that.

Exactly. No one pulled the lever for me. No one whispered in my ear. No one promised me a free lunch. No one gave me a ride..oops..not so..Sarah drove. No one threatened me.

To quote you, friend..I voted my faith, and I can live with that.
