Yeah, from what I've heard, most people fear public speaking more than death. I'm not sure why I like it so much; I guess it's the notion of many people actually paying attention to you.
I guess that explains it then. If I'm going to be the center of attention, it better be for something good, and for me, giving speeches usually isn't good.
