That sounds like a great idea. You should not miss the opportunity to do this with your dad.

I'm making a mincemeat pie for Thanksgiving but I've added this other thing we talked about last week. I bought this "Treacle" at Kroger. It is is in a can. It is from Hayes, Middx. UB4 8AL. The background looks like crushed pineapple but it says Heinz Microwaveable Treacle (Golden Syrup)Sponge Pudding. 10.5 oz./300 g. It also says you can steam the can for 35 minutes. I cannot imagine that.

I guess I just heat it and eat it with a fork. We shall see!

Sponge pudding in a tin a British classic from the Heinz factory in Hayes. They are customer of mine.

You steam it by putting it in a saucepan like when you boil condensed milk and you have to make sure the saucepan does not boil dry.

The microwave way will be much quicker though

I would think the tin you have is similar to this

It is a shame you have not got some English custard to go with it as that goes perfectly.
