At the risk of asking the obvious, exactly what does he mean by "wired"? Is he talking about genetics? If he is, he might want to brush up on his facts before he spouts anymore nonsense.

I think you're born gay. If it's "normal" to be born with a birth defect, then homosexuality is also a defect and it would occur "normally" in "x%" of the population. To me, it's a mental defect.

Yes, there are some people who choose it, but for true "gay" people, it's not a choice.
