I am still nursing my second cup. We have a lot of errands to do today, but I just can't seem to get moving. Hubby went to get in the shower, which means I have a few more inutes until he starts hinting that I'd better be getting ready to go.

Yes, Steele has a good chance. Did you hear/see his sister's commercial for him...? The one which answers Cardin's anti-stem cell research lie?
She talks about Steele's compassion and support for research, and then says " I should know. Michael is my older brother, and I have MS." KABOOM!

Mr. HOB went off to his second job already. I am home with the chores for Saturday and the pups.
tonight we may be going to the Halloween party at the Steven Udvar-Hazy Museum with the kids next door. It's really the second Smithsonian Air and Space Museum here in the NVA area. Really neat and I wanted to have kids to take to it. So I asked for 6 tickets ( it's free). I'll know today if we're going so I need to get everything else done.
Tomorrow, we are going to church as usual. But we, are taking two of our friends with us. They are Hindu and expressed a desire to come to our church since they don't get to temple very often. Uma reads the Bible every day and Sunny's children from a first marriage are all Christians. I am happy to have them with us. This is a most unusual request.
Tomorrow I will be busy with the kids during Sunday school since we are having a Reformation Sunday celebration. (a Halloween party was dissed by some of the teachers - they teach in the public schools too and I am sure this influenced their decision.)
Anyway, we are painting pumpkins and making carmel apples after listening to Pastor talk about Reformation Sunday and Martin Luther.

One of the most disturbing things (to me) in the last 30 years has been the transformation of Halloween from a light-hearted children's dress-up holiday to an adult ghoul-fest. I mean, who would have thought that there would be houses decorated with pumpkin lights and adult costumes which outsold children's? Our young neighbor has her house all decorated, and told us this is her
favorite holiday. I turn on the Food Network, and almost every program is featuring weird holiday treats and people in costumes.
The whole thing is very disturbing to me, and it makes me glad that there is some effort to push back a bit. My grandkids will be going trick-or-treating, and I don't see anything wrong with that, but I hope that churches will increasingly go against the trend if for no other reason than to get adults to GROW UP.

Thanks Molly. It was a fun series for us. Even though I watched it all from home on TV, I'm exhausted from staying up late. LOL.
In '82, when my dad was still around, he had season tickets to the games, and we went to every playoff game. The Cards were kind enough to win the series at home that year also.
After all the arguments and false starts we had in the city about building the new stadium, it sure was nice to win the series in the opening year.
