The DemoncRAT candidate for Senator from Virginia, Jim Webb, wrote a book in 2001. The book's title is Lost Soldiers,...
...and there is a particular passage that is found on page 333 of the hardcover edition--Chapter 34, paragraph 10:
And if that weren't enough, it seems Mr. Webb has written other novels. He just doesn't suggest underage sex with boys, he works on degrading women, too. Keep in mind as you read these, Jim Webb seeks the highest elected office in Virginia--that of United States Senator.

There are other quotes here, that were not reproduced in this thread as they don't even fit in the "R" bucket.
These are the writings, and therefore the musings, of the man who wishes to be Senator. While one could make the case he fits the DemoncRAT mold well, he's not for Virginia.
It would be doing Virginian's a public service to give this a wider circulation.

True there is a large VN population in NVA, but are they listening with open ears? Too ofen, they make excuses for the things siad....
I understand there is a considerable colony of Vietnamesse in VA. A majority of the 30 somethings are surely educated and Americanized to the point where they will speak up to defend their parent's native culture if it isn't true.

Wow! I sincerely hope that all of the Asiain communities understand that not all of us think this way. I am ashamed that anyone would defend this man for his writings and his behavior.
I'd really like to see our elected officials clean out the closet in Washington. This kind of mentality has no place in public office. We, the electorate, should hold those elected to a much higher standard of conduct if they wish to represent this nation. And, when they show evidence of this type of putrescent behavior, we need to remove them immediately.

May run this by my Vietnamese employee as casual conversation (have to be careful about these things, but I know she's an Republican). She lives in Maryland, but has friends in Falls Church (where the Vietnamese colony is). Plant a seed sort of thing.
BTW - My wife, predictably, was beyond incensed about the "monkey face" references in Webb's text.
I feel good about playing a role in bringing down Webb's campaign a notch or two or three or two hundred sixty-three, even if it is a small part.

And I'm angry right along with her. Mr. Webb would be wise to realize the number of non-Asians married to Asians--she's my most special person in the world. I take this personally.
