Good grief! When will the press get it right? "But Mr Nifong has suggested she might have been drugged with a spiked drink, which would explain both her apparent drunkenness and her vagueness about the attack."

Yes, it would explain her apparent drunkenness and her vagueness about the attack except that the drug test was NEGATIVE!

"The district attorney said that the medical examination showed evidence of sexual assault, but the defence says the cited swelling could have been caused by consensual sexual activity or certain acts she had performed as an exotic dancer in the days leading up to the party." Um, the acts she performed that caused the vaginal swelling were not performed as an exotic dancer. If this idiot had read Mangum's interview with the N&O, he'd know she'd never performed as a dancer at a private location before. She does, however, work for an escort service, and was on several "appointments" during the two days before the lax party, which would have been the weekend. One of those appointnments involved the use of a vibrator. Therefore, it could not have been as a dancer but as a prostitute that she used the device that caused the swelling, since the lax party was her first private dance engagement.
