Duke audience questions lax journalists
For those of you who missed the event or were there and want a second look, Robert Bliwise, editor of Duke Alumni Magazine, one of the event sponsors, told me in an email yesterday we'll be streaming the audio on the magazine's website next week.

I looked back through all my FR comments and can't find where a very helpful FReeper sent me the link to the Gang of 88. I found the "We are listening" ad in pdf format through searching on Duke.edu but it only says to see the list of signers, to go to the African American studies homepage. I could not find it there. Anybody know where it is? I'd really like to look at that list again.

while searching for the signers of the ad, I also came across a bio for Karla Holloway. It says that she is the author of "Passed On: African-American Mourning Stories, is a cultural and historic look at bereavement, death, dying, and burial in twentieth century African America". What the heck is 20th century African America?
