I hope that LB can tell us what their justification was for going ahead and using such derogatory descriptions about the boys and telling one side of the story. Surely the fact that the defense was not yet ready to talk to them isn't their justification for taking the position the boys were guilty and for basically calling them spoiled, rich "white" kids?
"I hope that LB can tell us what their justification was for going ahead and using such derogatory descriptions about the boys"
Correct. The players were demonized in every possible way, while their accuser was portrayed as a single working mother of 2 (no mention of her being tossed from the navy, her previous claim of gang rape, her selling drugs at 14, her joyriding in a car and trying to run down a policeman--but hey, what's that compared to Evans' making a racket with some trash cans at midnight?)
Sadly, one of the worst offenders in the early days was ESPN. You would think that they would have a little more respect for athletes! At least give them the benefit of the doubt! They crucified those boys on line, on their shows and in print.
