On a good note (pun intended) we hope that the disco is real. Now, I'm supposed to be a tough guy but one of my favorite moments in life came two years ago when at one of the best wedding receptions ever I got to dance "More Than a Woman" with my wife on a crowded floor that gave us the room. I'm mid fifties and she is ten years younger and a couple of young women told us later that they hope that they hope that when they are our age (punks) they will be dancing like that with their spouses.
My dancing is different, but the feeling is the same.... Nothing is more fun than moving to music and letting it carry you along (and I like disco alot myself).
And no, you're not being petty. The wrong music with the wrong 'style' is ignorant and spreads misinformation.
