Moore's comments in various publications, you'd realise that the premise of the Occupation of New Caprica was taken from the Nazi occupation of France. Had we the technology that we do today, reports from Occupied France would probably look remarkably like the present Iraqi conflict. FWIW, i happen to side with Col Tigh's perspective on what is proper. He appears to be the only person on the entire planet who is actually THINKING.

Tigh took it too far. That's what Tigh does though, he's a man of extremes (thus the alcoholism, and the devout love for the psycho wife, he just can't do anything half way). The first suicide bombing, which targeted only Cylon colaborators, was OK. But when he decided the marketplace filled with random civilians was a valid target he went too far down the slippery slope.
