My Dragon Fly and Me
If I could be a Dragon Fly and wing my way through the sky I would never be shy just me and my Dragon Fly!
By moonlight we ride the wind chase the comets tail for fun by day we would hide from the sun our fragile wings would come undone
On darkest nights we would use fireflies as our guide we would dip and we would glide through the heavens open wide and scatter diamonds in the night sky my Dragon Fly and me...
And we would wing past our lovers silent in the night... to kiss their face in our flight much to their surprise and delight my Dragon Fly and me in sight...
Such a view do we share away up here in the air of breezes soft through our hair my Dragon Fly and me a pair...

Ah, I have not seen this graphic in a good while, always a favourite. ;)
Windy as the dickens here. No rain and the temps are in the 60s, not bad if one does not get blown away.
To: Soaring Feather
All it is is gray and dark here.
However, I woke up this morning to no electricity and no idea why. Obviously, it's back on now; maybe the townies wanted to make sure we all set our clocks right.
It is 65 and insanely humid right now.

Sounds just like here, I have the window open a crack and the back door as well, a good blow through is good.
We have not lost power as far as I am aware.
To: Soaring Feather
We don't have the wind and I don't tolerate humidity well anymore, so my AC is on and maintaining 70 drier degrees in here.

My ac is out of the window for the winter. I think maybe your humidity is higher than mine at the moment. I don't feel very uncomfortable. Guess it's the open window helping with that.
To: Soaring Feather
Wind makes a difference with humidity, especially when it's hitting you, it's drying.
Humidity here right now is 97%!

Temp is 64, humidity is 78%, high, but not as high as yours.
Cute graphic!
To: Soaring Feather
78% is still high.
One of my cats is bugging the hell out of me and I don't know why. Gotta go see.

Solitary
Eyes, hungry for just a glimmer of light
ears seeking a sound not made by just one man
a mind starved for another, trapped beyond lonely
But he is so alone, forgotten, a single soul only
condemned to solitary, an existence they did ban
though he cant remember why now, is it right
Just eight steps wide and fourteen long the cell
and every feature of the walls known to touch
his claw-like hands now become his surrogate eyes
seeking something new and fair in hope before he dies
a silent world absorbing rage and pain, oh so much
this granite chamber holding his own version of hell
Once a day they feed him, once in a day a hope
but then dashed with a slamming door in his face
a cruel laugh and darkness enfolds him again
his tired soul tattered by silences subtle din
wishing this purgatory had finally run its race
and wondering if hell ever learn at last to cope
There are no days in this eternal night without end
no ancient sun to warm cold stone floors and walls
no chance for amends, or do it over better this time
now theres only the beating of his heart, of life a mime
waiting for anyone to give that sweet eternal final call
when freedom comes however it will, his spirit bends

She head was bent nearly
touching the ground
the loneliness hung
round her heart and pulled
her to the ground
the agony of those vapid nights
her eyes with tears and sorrow
'twas once upon a time she loved
the winging of the snow white dove
the cooing of the turtle dove
and chatter of the love birds there
in the gilded cage of gold
high above the din of town
she lived in opulence and pride
with her true love by her side
the time came he grew away
she could not hold the wandering sway
he left and with him took her heart
her will to life dashed to bits like her heart
In a lonely cell she lived
dark and dreary no sun displayed
the years of solitary played it course
on her face and laid down the creases
deep and wide
her golden hair turned
snow white, her shoulders slumped
from burdens care and the emptiness
of nightly meals supped alone in hollow halls
too much to bare.
Oh let me die this night she prayed
let me fill my empty grave
that I may begin my soaring ride
in the stars by his side.

Look at the little hummingbird hover over there. Isn't it amazing how he seems to stand still in mid air.
Big bang, you say and by mere happenstance that the hummingbird is this way. Almighty God spoke it and so it was, one fine and wonderful day.
