"How are you tonight? I hope your weekend is going well."
I'm sitting here alone, my wife is out of town for a club meeting of her fishing club (WAM = Women Anglers of Minnesota)a state wide group of women anglers. I get to sleep as late as I like, work on another book, watch british comedies, and cook a few new recipes I save for this weekend.
Along with that I can sip on my 35 year old scotch, smoke a few pipeloads of a greak dark cavandish, and listen to classical music all day.
I'm having a lot of fun, actually getting work on the book done, and enjoying the chance to eat new dishes.
All in all, I miss her!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
A Thought For Sunday
When faced with the dark, we think of the light,
when in the light, we fear the shadow of dark.
Will we to our needs now finally give hark,
and strive to a life of good faith, and right?
The one deciding our fate sits inside our mirrors
and looks back at us, and stares us down
We both are by our acts and words tied around
only we may take the blame, if lost in eternal tears
Lovely thoughts for Sunday, thanks.

Good morning,

Ms Feather!

Good morning everyone.
Sorry I'm getting this out the next day, but the training yesterday, and then the drive home, prevented me from getting on the computer until today.
Thanks for your very kind comments. As a School Psychologist I enjoy helping students, teachers, and parents so that the youth of today can become as successful as possible. But, special? Me? No, I'm just one of a very large number of people who work with children to help their lives to be better. The ones who are special in my opinions are those that have the children in the classrooms every day trying to teach them, and be nurses, counselors, parents, friends, mentors, etc.
I can relate. I was in Sacramento from Tuesday through Sunday before getting home to my wife Sunday night. Then, I left this morning to go back to work, and won't be home to my bride until Friday.
Good afternoon, Ms. feather. I hope your enjoying your day.
Good day to you. I have been out doing errands, no rain so far, but it is forecast.
Trust you're having a good day. ;)
My day is going well. Our skys are clear and the temps in the low 80's. This past weekend would have been a beaut for fishing, but work got in the way :<
Well, our temps are not anything like our temps usually are this time of year.
I just checked the actual temperature from the local TV stations website, and I have to revise my report. It's 75 degrees right now in Sacramento with little wind.

Its 37 here and I'm wrapped up in a nice snuggy sweater, and sipping on my hot chia.
Stop tormenting me with 75!
Since we're into dragons, here's one for you.
Beyond the First Impression
Black his scaled armor under mighty ebon wings as dark as night,
a silent sinewy serpent form raging on in undulating flight.
An terrible engine of destruction across an age and more,
with eyes on fire as his breath, glaring rage as on he soars.
From the height of a black bitter night he ranges wide,
searching with frightening patience for that which frightened, hides.
Hunting as always, for that is all he knows or cares,
no deep and difficult moral choices for the mighty worm,
unfortunate prey must deal with him on his dark terms
He is alone now, the last reptilian monarch of the sky,
and now all he waits for is the day he finally gets to die.
Long the ages and long the lonely span of empty years
and how he would have wept, if dragons could cry tears.
It hurts to fly, the joints so sore and weary muscles drag him on,
he wishes he could just let go and miss yet another empty dawn.
But a monarchs heart wont give in so he has to wear it out,
and if given half a chance hell give those tricky fates a rote!
High upon the dark night winds, he wings his way again,
a spark ignites within his heart and floats away the pain.
At least for the moment, he can remember his great prime
for another night hes free again just once more, one more time
Bravo, Bravo, well done!
I started working on a piece yesterday, hope it's as good as yours when it's done. ;)
Bet it will be!!!!!!!!!!!!
