[Soaring Feather]

My Dragon Fly and Me

If I could be a Dragon Fly
and wing my way through the sky
I would never be shy
just me and my Dragon Fly!

By moonlight we ride the wind
chase the comets tail for fun
by day we would hide from the sun
our fragile wings would come undone

On darkest nights we would use
fireflies as our guide
we would dip and we would glide
through the heavens open wide
and scatter diamonds in the night sky
my Dragon Fly and me...

And we would wing past our lovers
silent in the night...
to kiss their face in our flight
much to their surprise and delight
my Dragon Fly and me in sight...

Such a view do we share
away up here in the air
of breezes soft through our hair
my Dragon Fly and me a pair...

A Beautiful Sunday Morning

The leaves are dancing with the wind Birds are playing, chirping and singing Everyone I meet every face are grinned Happy spirits even the hearts are laughing The sun is out and there is a storm around But we are like sheltered from it inside a ball Don’t feel any pressure or hear any sound Even though we are surrounded with turmoil The music I hear is very soothing Water dashing against the solid rocks Not a sound of siren or traffic buzzing Only sounds of footsteps on the boardwalks It is a happy sensation not needing a thing Not a hunger or craving for something This calm and relaxed feeling is fulfilling I feel like singing, jiving and dancing Dance with me sing with me It is a lovely beautiful Sunday Don’t be crabby and don’t be cranky This maybe the only day we’ll feel this way Kay Barcelon

How often we wish for another chance

Morning Ms. feather. Looking awfully cloudy here this morning. Maybe rain today?

We are having glorious sunshine today!

Well, you undoubtable deserve some sunshine after all that cold snow.

Ah, we did not get the snow, I was far away from it. ;)


I am not near The Great Lakes.

Well, that is good, I guess (unless you like snow and cold). They were talking about possible flooding from warming temps in the news.

Actually, I do much better in cooler air and drier temps. We get hot and humid here for our summer. Makes it tough going.



While in Las Vegas this past July, I did enjoy the 104F temps and dry air.

LOL! 104 in Chico and the people there start whining like a bunch of little kids. I won't start thinking about it being hot until it approaches 115 - then I figure it's getting a little like Iraq in the Summer. Since my son was there in August, and carrying about 80 lbs of equipment, I decided I wouldn't complain about the heat any more. At least I can go indoors when I need to. Many of our soldiers don't have that luxury.
