No, but I've heard of Jello Biafra...
That is what the Milwaukee Mafia did back in the 1970s.
Google is your friend, but it is good to not jump to conclusions. Welcome to FR and it was good that you didn't need a /sarcasm tag from me.
I don't know if it's true, but when I've traveled I've noticed that most every major city has one and the street is never anywhere I'd like to be stranded or alone.
In April I spent two weeks with my nephew working on a house he bought in the Bywater area about a year before Katrina. The amazing thing about NOLA even as recently as 6 months ago is that NOWHERE IN THE CITY do you have ANY sense of police presence. We spent 2 or 3 hours a day "sightseeing" the worst of the wreckage, and in nearly two weeks I saw FOUR police cars, ONE of them writing a ticket to a driver of a Military Jeep, and three of them pulled over in the empty parking lots of boarded-up stores, with the cop inside looking to be apparently reading a magazine. Crime has been slowly returning to the city, and people are really pissed to see no one willing or able to keep that from happening. Soon, BIG money will be circulating in the city, and I fully expect the criminal class will find a way to migrate back, figuring there is now a new client-base for drugs, with oodles of disposable cash. No matter who GETS the money, it can be stolen from them, so strong-arm robbery will probably go up.
Slowly and with feeling. Worked for me -- I read them out loud to a friend. I liked msnimje's remark about the girls' names looking awfully close to LemonJello.
It is sad for his family, especially his children.
Or in a very lefty part of town. Martin Luther King Blvd and Cesar Chavez Blvd are wrapped around the Pocatello campus of Idaho State University. Neither of those people ever set foot in Pocatello, yet we have to deface the community with streets named after them.
What makes you sure he's a drug dealer?
only 7 removed comments?
I'd be leery of FR getting involved in flaming this fellow without some facts to back up the charge that his "entrepreneurship" was in drug dealing. It sounds like the material for a libel suit.
Check out post #24
He has none kids at 25. How many of them are the same age?
What makes you believe this was "family"?
Malcolm X made the same observation about any high school named Abraham Lincoln, over forty years ago.
Ole Flair left us a target-rich environment over here.
Words fail me.
I don't have one of those, but Tax-chick and I have a "Who the hell would name a baby that?" list, if you're interested.
It seems every city in this country has a MLK Boulevard ...
it's interesting that most of them are in the bad part of town.
